You are pretty much right. Hank ran into taco when he did because of Jesse and Walt, however hank already knew about tuco so its entirely possible that he'd be killed in some shoot out with the DEA amd its also entirely possible hank would be the one to kill tuco so this probably would have happened anyways
if you like Frings man who does everything, Better Call Saul focuses on him and the cartel side of everything heavily. in my opinion is better than BB, would definitely recommend watching it.
This was definitely a good episode. I still advocate for you watching better call saul after bb. It will give some additional clarity.
