fyi i think ur confused bc they're siblings, but byakuya isn't rukia's captain, he's renji's captain. while ukitake IS rukia's captain which they stated in the episode! also aside from the head captain, all the other captains are considered the same level of authority, so ukitake is able to "scold" byakuya bc technically they're in the same hierarchy.
I mean, at the same time though I don't think Byakuya would have necessarily let any Captain stop him. Ukitake is one of the oldest Captains and he is at least comparable in power to Byakuya. If it was one of the weaker Captains then Byakuya may not have listened to them.
I think you should react to the endings after this arc since this arc has it where each ending is specialized to a captain and their subordinates. I didn’t even realize but I saw the endings today lmao

You're right, Ichigo defeated Kenpachi only because Kenpachi doesn't use the Zanpakto's powers and keeps nerfing himself. Ichigo would almost definitely loose against any other captain at that point, or even Kenpachi himself if he started the fight without nerfing himself. A lot of Kenpachi's power comes from his craziness how he loves fight and has no fear.
