I was catching up on the anime and got to these episodes as I was also watching a bunch of Live Action reactions. Knowing these episodes and listening to people theorize about what Coby becomes was so good.

this was the last episode before the 6 month break and they sure made it go into the break with a massive impact. And still the 6 month break to secure the quality of the final saga of one piece, so far has been soo worth it. Most episodes since the break is over have been a blast in animation or framing.

He sure is more valuable alive than dead, also more valuable than Coby. Aside from being a bargaining chip, if they want to collect 3 billion from the Cross Guild, they can. But they can get money from plundering random ships full of rich people, but not deals and power. the fact that he's not only a bargaining chip for the navy but also a bait for another emperor, Luffy, and even the revolutionaries, Dragon. But I doubt Dragon would risk his whole operation to save someone other than Luffy.

Here's a fun fan theory. Hibari has a huge crush on Koby, obviously, but there might be a rather difficult obstacle if Koby returns the feelings. A common fan theory is that Hibari's father is none other that Akainu. The actual "evidence" of this is that they both speak with a Hokaido accent. This wouldn't be a big deal if they weren't literally the only two characters in the series that do.

I just wanted to comment on this one in particular to say that your reactions were how I managed the hiatus. Don't forget the cracks that ran all through Pizzaro's Island arm before the impact hit. Koby found a way to unlock Ryuo, invade your body, Haki and the way he did the impact is the proof. Jack also mentioning how bright Koby's fist became before the punch is definitely another indicator in my mind. Makes me wonder if that bright yellow Haki is the same as the Yellow/Golden lightning that Luffy uses alongside the Black Conquorers Haki lightning when he's in Gear 5? I think that's the "Freedom" of Gear 5 because Luffy is constantly pumping Ryou Armament Haki in a way like he would with Conquorers Haki. Remember back to his fight with Kaidou "Can you wear Conquerers Haki like armament?" is what he asked Kaidou at one point either after Momo flew him back up or when it first became the 1 on 1, I forget exactly when

Do we have to remind ourselves what happend the last time we saw Aokiji entirely freezing someone to death while that freezing person was laughing? ... Welp. 1122 is the last dubbed episode, for now. I wish the One Piece dub stops being so insanely stupid and starts simulcasting instead of putting 12 episode batches on the Microsoft Store (???) FOR $40 A PIECE. Knowing them, they'll dub Fishman Island first, but I look forward to joining the rest of you some day. If my dream were to come true, they will start Simulcasting, and Oda will not release the final manga chapter until the anime is caught up, and they can be released at the same time. If not, I'll have to cut myself off from the internet for a few years, because the entire planet is gonna get spoiled once the One Piece is actually revealed

We need more Koby feats, stat. Honesty impact is incredible and I do like the kid as a character, but considering he was an active liability for that entire story arc, he needs way more actual credible positive feats to make the loss of Garp look even close to worth it for me.
