I only just noticed, but during Oden's procession to the capital, I think he was riding on the back of the young white boar that Kinemon stole at the start of the flashback
I always forget how banging the Oden flashback is
ppl actin like izo wasnt a rando before Wano is funny
he wasn't just a rando, you smokin
Izo is just a rando.....Wow....
Just goin back to this comment section. I’m surprised that no one told him who Izo is…
when the reveal of where denjiro is now happens it is honestly pretty sad how he got to that stage and how hard it was for him for 20 years
Rewatching this again, now I can see that Luffy is a lot like Oden.. Even when he looks annoyed people try to follow him as his followers, its exactly like post-dressrosa with the fleet. Eventually they also follow him and doesn't care whether he likes it or not 🤣
Oden's backstory feels like a breath of fresh air
You should check out the Eng VA for Oden it fits him very well!
It's time for 20 episodes of back story.
The 20 best backstory episodes so far
bro is finally gonna see prime WB powers!! (even though his done with the backstory with his current reaction)
The Yasuie scene at the end of 962 is so good (and also so heartbreaking), it really shows you how important of a role he played in their lives. It was Oden that brought them together, but it was Yasuie that challenged them to become men, and in turn help elevate Oden. The Akazaya 9 without Yasuie would have just stayed a wild bunch in Kuri. It really recontextualizes the pain they felt at Yasuie's execution.
btw for even more oden gas, oda said that oden cut the mountain boar so cleanly and precisely that the boar lived and was just stitched back together.
