On the topic of X Drake(which is minor compared to everything else in these couple of episodes), we knew when he was introduced that he was a Rear Admiral that had deserted the Navy and become a pirate. But now this episode reveals he's actually still a part of the Navy. Take into account that the first thing he did when he got to the New World was attack an island that was under Kaido's control, and next time we see him he's worked his way up to the Tobi Roppo, so he's already part of Kaido's inner circle. All of this implies that, from the very beginning, he faked deserting the Navy in order to infiltrate Kaido's crew.

The reason episode 957 was so visually captivating was because Megumi Ishitani directed it. You, of course, know her work from One Piece Fan Letter. She has this way with any episode she handles and her work is always a masterpiece. There's still 2 major episodes that she worked on in Wano and I'm certain you'll love them. Honestly the way Oda just keeps teasing the Reverie is hilarious. However, I always loved how packed these episodes always were. Can't wait for your next reaction.

957 is the first episode directed by Megumi Ishitani, the quality difference is crazy. Every episode she directs feels like it's own self contained movie, so damn good.
