I really like the parallels between Whole Cake and Wano when it comes to food. From Being at a place where you can eat as much as you want, and everything is made from food to only being able to eat something like rice twice a year due to food being scarce. It's crazy how we jumped from one to the other.
It's here...UMEEEEEE
Jack, most of the time why characters aren't moving fast isn't their fault. It's Toei's pacing xD These early episodes' pacing are well... It's so bad that I started laughing after some repeated scenes lol. Fortunately, it will get better later on.
The anime really makes you think that Bat-Man is strong but he just fires some arrows in the Manga. The block of Luffys attack doesn't Happen and normally I don't extended fight scenes like this but when they make someone look strong even though they should be weak it really hurts the narritive.
As you can see the Smile fruits don't seem to be quite on the same scale as real Devil Fruit powers
They’re basically Walmart devil fruits. No offense to Walmart!
When I saw the name card saying bat-man all I can think about was Fanum dressing up as Batman for Halloween 😭💀
Sessha is a male equivalent of "I" in Japanese. Thats why they are specifying when kiku talks
specifically, it is used mostly by male samurai
Ah yes, the batman episodes...
You might look out for this fun pattern; Oda named the headliners in Kaido's crew after card game themes, including obscure or foreign games. The games so far: Ginrummy, Sheepshead, Hold'em, and Speed. (Hawkins is tarot card themed. Drake had the epithet "Red Flag" since Sabaody which is a card game)
And Kaido's business partner nicknamed "Joker" also had commanders named after the four suits of cards, fitting the theme - hearts (Corazon), diamonds (Diamante), spades (Pica), and clubs (Trebol)
As much as I like wano, I can feel the pacing already
Agreed, although I do feel like the worst pacing is at the beginning of the arc it does slowly get better IMO
LETS GOOOOO
