I know I'm really late to the party but the discussion between Canute and Willibad about love versus discrimination is really about unconditional love, which is what God asks of humans but they are incapable of. They discuss how original sin prevents humans from doing any more than discriminating (positively) against the people we are close to, but we are asked to "love thy neighbor" and extend that to all people. That is the love we are meant to strive for but are incapable of embodying in life, only after death can we achieve it. Canute's resolution comes from the paradox of this test God places on the people of earth.
Sung Jin Canute
Canute might be the best written character in the show so far. The growth is insane
The discrimination was valuing one thing over others instead of giving it indiscriminately, A mother bear loves its cubs more than anything, but discriminates against those that arent those cubs. Perspective but take that away and apply equally to all. You have no enemies Jack.
Do you have any predictions for how season 1 will end? p.s Alpha male Canute
Being weekly sucks imo, especially when you sometimes have 2 weeks in between (for holidays).
