It depends, Act I remaster is not compatible with the current Act II, so you can't transfer saves. If you are talking about the original Act I, then when you reach the end of Act I, Sloth will talk to you about creating a special save for Act II. The Act I remaster is finished and publicly available. There Act II remaster is being worked on but does not have an anticipated completion date at this time.
