The Lion priestess! (The Ascending, Maid to serve)

"Among the first of the plains-born to rise during the Ascending were the lions — creatures already possessed of an ancient stillness.
Something in their nature answered the call more swiftly than most of the newly awakened races. From their kind emerged a rare vocation: the Lion Priestess.

Her awakening often begins in contemplative silence — sometimes in the midst of the hunt, when the rhythm of pursuit suddenly feels secondary to a deeper awareness; sometimes beneath a sky too vast to belong to any single species. Trained in the mystical disciplines and lifted toward a heightened state of consciousness, she accepts a path that is less inheritance than burden, less privilege than obligation.

She takes up the struggle for a higher calling.

She begins by listen to the voice within.

Not merely to the wind threading through tall grass, nor to the distant pulse of migrating herds, but to the quiet interior presence that cannot be spoken in language. It does not announce itself with command or revelation. Instead, it reveals its nature through compassion and love — a widening sense of kinship with the living world and a fierce tenderness toward her fellow brothers and sisters.

In this way, the Lion Priestess becomes both guardian and witness, carrying within her the paradox of the Ascending: that the primal heart, when awakened fully, does not lose its strength — it is granted the strength to endure.
