you are right about the connection between Matt and Jackson. I think the explanation for that is pretty lazy. Matt isn't that great of a villain tbh and it's bc of the writing. they wanted a twist but it seems like they didn't work it out fully. I hope u enjoy the next 2 seasons a bit better. you're wrong about jay Garrick though, he saved Matt but he also threatened Matt and protected the teens who didn't help.
Thank youbfor explakning to this guy its like hes not even paying attentionbwjen he watches like they are giving you the answers you just have to watch and listen and am i the only one who is curious on the fact that he hates allison bit cant actuelly give a decent reasob why and becuase of this he immediatly associates this with scott so hates him too its ridiculous hes judging vefore the story is even over
You are trying to make everything so complicated. Matt was a kid when all those people were in highschool, they were hanging out at the coaches house and drinking, when Matt came over to hang with Isaak. Drunk kids threw him in the pool, he can't swim, so he drowns and passes out, he wakes up to Isaak's dad yelling at him to never tell anybody what happened(becouse obviously if he tells, Isaak's dad probably goes to prison.) There was no river or what ever you have imagined. He didn't "die" die. Maybe just a clinical death or whatever and he was revived. Why would anyone think its weird that this kid came back to school? I feel like you think he died at 17 years old but like years ago and now he is a ghost or something? Thats not the case. Matt never dissapear. He just almost died. that's it. He went on to live his life troumatised and angry at what happened.
As an avid teen wolf watcher let me explain the ending. Matt never officially died as he was resuscitated by Isaac's dad. Consider it a near death experience. The reason Matt wanted revenge on Isaac's dad was because he threw the party for his sons underaged swim team and allowed them to drink leading to his drunk son throwing Matt into the pool (to cover for his sons behavior he told Matt to never say a word). Matt just blames him for the entire situation even if he saved him (If Isaacs dad never let them drink he wouldn't have drowned). Matt admits to getting (undiagnosed) PTSD/anxiety from the incident which his parents assumed was asthma because he was never able to tell them the truth. From Matt perspective it feels like the person he was before the trauma didnt exist anymore (died). Matt lost his childhood due to the traumatic event. The situation itself happened about seven years prior based on the year Isaac's brother graduated. Matt was a child probably 8-9 during this when it happened and yes he and Isaac were friends at the time as they're the same age. So Matt never went missing nor would they assume he was suspicious as nobody knew about what happened except the swim team.
in the context of the show and the magic system, I think Matt did die. yeah he was brought back but he still died. his heart stopped and he probably needed a bunch of chest compressions. he might've been "dead" for minutes. the show puts emphasis on the rules of the kanima which means that in order for Matt to get revenge, he must've been killed since the kanima only murders murderers.
