Grey's Anatomy "Good Mourning; Goodbye" 6x1 Reaction (Steven)

It was a recast for a moment. The actor who plays George was officially out of the show so they had to finish the story off by recasting for a little while. You could tell it was him in the last episode of season 5. Def not him in this episode.

So now that you're here I can explain a bit. The actor who plays George wasn't getting a lot of story after the Burke incident and he was getting frustrated with the lack of story. He eventually goes to the show runner and asks for more story and it's been said that he suggested maybe making George gay as a possible story line and gets shot down. (not sure how true that part is) As I've said before, the show runners were basically retaliating against him for the situation that went down with Burke's actor. Most likely it was because of how public it became as well. Once he finally decided out of his contract, in true Shonda fashion, his character got a petty send off.
