My Instagram account has been permanently removed
Hey everyone, definitely did not want to make this post ever, but it is what it is. Following a recent onslaught of negative/homophobic comments, my Instagram account has been terminated, likely due to mass reporting. I know a lot of you found my art through that account, and I am so eternally grateful for that. 10 years of art and nearly 60k followers all just gone, so I am devastated to say the least. The reason given was “account integrity”, which is usually reserved for accounts that are botting likes and follows. Despite this, my appeal was rejected in minutes, likely due to AI decision making, and I am not allowed to appeal again.
Honestly, I’m not in a very good place for art right now. Between AI, censorship, pirating websites, artist alley rejections, social media, and the general economic state of things, I feel as though for me, perusing a career as a creative is being punished more and more, and I am very worried of being pushed out of it all together.
Despite all this, I am certainly not giving up. I know that those you who have chosen to be here, to support me both financially and with your uplifting words, are my core audience, and the reason to keep going. As long as at least one person out there who looks forward to what I draw next, there is reason. So for now, I will just have to rebuild.
You can still find me on twitter, and I have made a new insta account that hopefully people will find me at (may change the name but I don’t want immediately terminated if it’s too close to my old one) so spread the message if you know of people who are looking to find me.
I have a more thoughts obviously, but I would like to end by saying that expressing yourself, now more than ever, is crucial . I’m grateful that this platform allows me to share my queer art unashamedly, and that you all are so warm and receptive. I hope this post wasn’t too much of a bummer, but I’m obviously going through it lmao. I will continue to upload scheduled content here, and I am excited to share my new tier 2 comic soon. As always, thank you for being here, now more than ever ❤️

don't give up hope yet I was in the same boat, and after a few days my account was unlocked, even though it seemed hopeless So I really hope you get it back.
