What is this mod?
The Homestead Helper mod contains props for my 'cooking' mods.
It acts as a bridge between multiple mods so that I can make use of different cooking props without having to remake them for each mod or requiring you to have another mod if you (for example) only want to download the homemade prepped ingredients mod.

How to install:
Download the HomesteadHelper.package file and place into your mods folder - this mod will not do anything on it's own and is intended to be used alongside the mods listed above.
This mod is Base Game Compatible ~ any issues please let me know!

If you have been experiencing issues with 'off the grid' recipes not completing cooking whilst off the grid - please try this small mod override.

Hi! lilbowbub! I would like to have something for my Medieval castle kitchen that is sorely missing! a roasting hearth with a spit, like what we had in Sims Medieval! It would produce larger meals with generous, feasting-style portions of wild game, such as royal venison and royal salmon. just like in The Sims 3: Medieval. What do you think? Does anyone want honey-glazed spiced meat roasted over an open fire? Or maybe a roasted giant veggie?

Hey there, was curious, do these ingredients count as their counterparts also with SCCO? Like the broths and bread and cream cheese and frostings?
Some of them do but I know I've forgotten to add the tags to quite a few. It's something I need to go through and update.
Hi, I have the most recent version but my sims stop making the medieval soups and I can’t click resume, the only option is clean up. I’m also off the grid, but I have that patch too.

Hi, I've been trying for a few days now to make chicken and veg stock and noticed that the butter, prepared vegetables and prepared meats aren't being reconized in the recipes. Even though they are prepared and placed in the fridge or my sim inventory. This prevented me from playing the simple living challenge. Just wondering if there is anything that I'm doing wrong or if anyone has this issue?
Hi, sorry for the slow reply! Have you had your sim pick up a serving of the ingredient? Unless it is through the stand mixer, your sim will make a 'tub' of servings. The game will only register the individual serving as an acceptable ingredient.
Hi. I have downloaded the Homestead Helper and the Canning recipes. Where do the Canning recipes show up at?
The canning recipes are under the canning category on the homestead basket - you’ll have to click the basket and the pie menu should pop up 😊

I've been excited to play this but have run into some problems my sims won't complete the baking the white crusty bread rolls command, it'll get stuck on the cutting board then there's nothing but a clean up option. Also my sims will eat the prepared butter before anything else thats made. Just the butter lol.
Did you grab the updated homestead helper? There was some cooking props recently added for the bread recipe :) I'm looking into removing the eating of prepped ingredients haha!
just noticed that you used ."" in the filename. it isn't recommended as it could interfere with parsing a command line (or path) if they were in a filename. there are worse characters to use, but still

so, if I place this, do I still have to place or have the cookbook in the sims inventory?
The cookbook is still needed to access grannies recipes. The basket only needs placing to click to make canning and homemade ingredients. If you don’t use them, there’s no need to place the basket.
Will the mixing bowl overrides conflict with others who have custom food preparation, e.g. Icemunmun, Oni, Brazenlotus? Thank you.
They wont conflict with the recipes but they will conflict with other EA cooking prop overrides as they are replacing EA's mixing bowls. Once i've overridden all the other bowls/any any other cooking props I will put them in their own download post so there will be better info on how they work. They're not required for the homestead helper mod to work. 😊
