🕯️Favourite Occult Poll🕯️
Hi everyone! 🎃
The spooky season is creeping closer.. so I've got another poll, this time for your favourite occult/s!
I have included a 'No Occults' option if you don't play with occults/not interested in occult foods.
I'm also interested to see how popular they are in general and if it's something that would be liked more all year round rather than just October.
You can select however many you like, so choose all your favourites!

screw spellcasters!! lol, vampires need more foods and drinks! i want to be able to have a vampire dinner party. :)
I know vampires and werewolves have more gameplay and skills that don’t function like cheats. But I’ll always go with a wizard. So I vote all 3. Mermaids deserve a skill tree.
I chose all i don't discriminate
Vampire
are there blood sausages for the vampire?
I love werewolves the most, followed by fairies (cause of gardening powers and being able to calm a werewolf's fury), spellcasters (cool spells), and vampires. I don't play with any of the others.
Everyone except ghosts or aliens, cuz I have none in my main story 😂
I'm always on the hunt for fairy dishes inspired by Winx Club and Barbie Fairytopia! I think about those bell flower tea sets from the first movie daily lol.
I mean, I like all of the occult sims🤷🏽♀️ I would be so happy with any recipe you make. My Sims always end up chefs or cook and sell on the selling table from Home Chef Hustle...
all of them !!
I chose all cause I'm an Occult Simmer, the more the better. I use a mod for vamp food by Catdevpete. I am tinkering around with a mod by TianaSims for Spellcasters. For fairies not necessarily cooked food but a mod by Keiyu for emotional berries - damn berries from Jungle Adventures finally useful for other matters - perhaps fairy recipes involving using those but then again, not everyone may have said pack but still an idea. Werewolves that's what your Hunting and Foraging mod is for go hunting you dirty beasts. So in essence, it would be nice to have options for the others in particular Aliens, Plantsims, who were just done outright dirty, and even Mermaids all of whom were quite honestly given the short end of the stick when it comes to gameplay options. Ghosts needs something special as well to go in line with their ghostly ecoplasm. Eh would say honestly Occult just been tossed to the wayside cause you know 'realism.' But hey, ocults are my 'babies' they are my idea of 'realism' gameplay. So yes, I picked all occult.
I feel modders have expanded on Vamp foods quite a bit, and Spellcasters can just eat human food no? You can absolutely be Spellcaster-warlock, on a steady diet of mac and cheese (or use your excellent, existing standard human recipes) and it remain narratively immersive still... ...so I feel like a more niche occult, with more niche, unique food / gastric needs, would be desirable (and add a bigger, more pronounced boost to *missing Occult gameplay). I am thinking like (and these ideas might be dumb, but I would use them 100%): Mood Meringue (Ghosts): + 1x Moody Shrub Harvest (bottled emotion) + 1x Egg + 1x Milk (Locks their mood to match a potion/emotion for 72 hours) Bonefish Loosh Vatape (Fae / Fairies): 1x Moody Shrub Harvest (bottled emotion) 2x Bonefish 1x Coconut milk Phase-shift Perogies (Fae / Fairies): 1x Mysterious Mushroom 1x flour 1x egg 1x milk (...but they, like, grant amild dazed moodlet in fairies, and an absolutely overpowering 'dazed' moodlet to human sims (who think them normal perogies) if eaten?) Fertile Dirtcake (Plant sims): 1x fertilizer 1x Grub Meal 1x Chocolate 1x sugar 1x milk That sort of thing... Cheers!
Vampires, spellcasters, werewolves and fairies seem the most fleshed out with plenty to do with each, so that's what I went for. If I had to pick one, it would be spellcasters as they have the fewest downsides. Vamps & werewolves are a pain until you can control their ability to go out in daylight or rampage. I tend to forget a Sim is an alien until they can't sunbathe or something. Both them and the Merfolk lack the ability progression of other occults, and Merfolk are also pretty high maintenance. With PlantSims, it's difficult to create one and then there is little to do once you have them. I haven't played the Sims 2 version, but that seems more detailed than the half-baked version we have in 4. I seem to end up with so many ghost Sims since Life & Death and progression takes forever. It also doesn't seem possible to progress a child ghost at all.
Vampires and spellcasters for me
At this point I play more spellcasters than normal sims, because the spells are so useful, also I love the vibes. I can't have enough occult recipes honestly.
I think vampires need more foods and drinks.
I love all of the occults, and can't remember the last time I played a human Sim.
Spellcasters and Werwolves! But that's probably because we have the best cc and mods for these + vampires. I love seeing CC for any and all occults!
I like all the occults but I wish there were more foods for vampires and Plantsims.
spellcasters4L
For "carnivore" werewolves, I'd appreciate a cc dish that has more than one serving of raw meat. BTW spellcasters, werewolves, and vampires are my favorite occults. They got plenty of lore.
I love aliens so much! I wish they would update their gameplay!!
I love them all, but since they're new, Fairies don't have much content yet.
I’d appreciate more seasonal and occult dishes, ideally in the form of a pack on the Marketplace, official in-game content. It feels weird to me to pick just one occult type—I play with all of them. That’s another reason why a pack full of different dishes for all occult types would be very welcome, and I’d buy it. I don’t know why EA hasn’t come up with something like that.
Aliens but I also love Vampires and mermaids 🧛🏿♀️🫶🏽
I chose ALL :D
