#Ad The Sims Maker Program
Just to confirm - nothing will be changing here, I will still be creating my usual content completely separate from the Maker Program and it will not be replacing cc & mods 馃挌

Hi everyone! 馃挌
You may have already seen that The Sims are introducing a new way to purchase and play with content - The Sims Maker Program!
I was invited to create a Maker Pack and I'm so excited to share an inside view at the items I made for my pack! (of course Grannie had to make an appearance somehow 馃き)
I went for a Kitchen clutter theme as you can see and created a bunch of d茅cor items and a shelf(!!) Let me know if you would like a closer peek at any of the items.. 馃憖
If you have any questions or would like to know more feel free to ask me or join in the conversation over on The Sims discord channel 馃槉

ps. I have opened up a community chat channel available to all members to talk and discuss 馃槉

I'm very happy with the opportunity you've had with the marketplace, I think all The Sims players are. Instead, The Sims competitors are launching their own games, poorly made and sluggish copies, and are riding the wave of controversy in the hope of attracting customers. They'll never have me 馃樄馃樄馃樄 !!!
The items are the perfect addition to your recipes! Now we can be in grannies' kitchen and eat her meals as well.
馃グ Thank you!! I do love some cute kitchen clutters and I think these will be great for adding a little extra life to those breakfast tables and counter corners 馃槉
As someone who works in Finance at a company that does a similar product is see why EA has to do this to survive financially. People don't get that; developers get paid more than 6 figures and the have to turn a profit. It is a business at the end of the day, not charity. I will be supporting creators on the Marketplace if it's stuff i like. I will continue supporting you here too.
Thank you 鉂わ笍 It's a good way for creators to get some extra financial support and create for more players who don't have access to cc. Hopefully once things settle, there will be a nice balance between sims content/packs and the marketplace 馃槉
Congratulations! I'm happy for you! At the end of the day all companies are looking for a way to gain more money. It's what you choose to spend your money on. And I will continue to support you on both Patreon and on the Maker Program.
Thank you 鉂わ笍 I'm still an individual separate from EA so it is a great opportunity financially (life is expensive 馃槶) and hopefully it will be another good creative outlet for me to explore away from my usual things without it impacting here. Thank you for all your support 馃
I will most likely continue to support your Patreon, and I will always think you are incredibly talented! But you might notice many in the online sims community (myself included) find the Marketplace to be a micro-transaction mess pushed by a company that wants to continue making money for a game they won't even be making meaningful content for anymore, and that's sad. <3
The announcement of the market place came with additional news/speculation that I was unaware of 馃様 I believed as a creator that this would be a great opportunity for myself to create outside of my usual things and be able to reach new audiences that otherwise wouldn't be interested in my creations. I viewed it as a chance to create the closet thing to an official kit (which can help support me without as much continuous maintenance like with mods) As a player, I truly hope that the market place doesn't become the sole focus and that expansions and meaningful free updates continue to happen馃挌
I will continue to support you on Patreon, but as a matter of principle, I won't be purchasing anything on the Marketplace, including your content there. EA won't listen to complaints, but they will listen metrics. Have to do my part in that department.
Thank you and I completely understand that! I'm not expecting or pushing anyone to purchase my pack - I was just more excited to show that I had been asked to create something official 馃檨
Uh this sucks especially how much their cut is compared to how much you are getting. I hope you don't regret it will still be here in patron cause I enjoy your content but EA a circus always will be with how money hungry and uncaring they are
I think creating 'maker packs' for the market place is less mentally heavy in terms of continued maintenance and support like with mods so the cut didn't feel bad for myself personally. But I can understand the response 馃槥
Question, since we are paying patrons do we get this content too? Or do we need to buy it? Cause if we need to go buy it then paying patron is a waste of money
Hi! Unfortunately not - Anything available over on the Sims 'marketplace' won't be hosted anywhere else. It will be completely separate from anything created and released on Patreon. I will still be creating my own content here which won't collide with the Sims maker program 馃槉
