Here's a very early look at something I'm making for December

I'm thinking of doing a few variants with a slight change for how each will be displayed so if you can guess what it might be then leave a comment for your favourite flavours! 馃挍

i have a question, i'm crossing my fingers that you'll answer ^.^ ......what do you use to create your textures? the way you make things from scratch, and your attention to detail [example above, the way you used a lighter color on the edges of the fudge, gives the item shape, it shows the shape of the objects and adds dimension without adding more polys. anyway, that was a little tangent. my point is this, what do you use to create/draw/paint your textures for your items? it looks like you use something other than photoshop, since you expertly painted the edges of the fudge, i'm assuming you did the painting and detail work on the mesh itself, rather than unwrapping the texture and painting it flat in photoshop? that's why i mentioned the attention to detail. it looks like you created the texture while it was still a 3D mesh. substance painter maybe? hope you see this! i've been looking for a more efficient way to paint and create textures from scratch, since it's so difficult to properly put in details in the proper places on the mesh, when it's unwrapped. even though i don't make items, i do CAS, i figured whatever you use for objects has to beed good enough for creating CAS textures..i appreciate all your work and hope to hear back! [i know this is kinda long, i have a tendency to ramble]
Hi! (Firstly, Thank you! It's been a bit of a week and I've been feeling meepy 馃槄but reading this made me feel better 鉂わ笍) As for my textures, I use sketchbook (it used to be free but you now have to pay a 1 time fee.. I'm not sure if they are still the same as I'm using the old version) It's quite basic, as far as I know it's not like photoshop more just a simple drawing app but I think you get more control if using a pen (I just use the mouse tho and it's fine) Photoshop is.. over my head and I've not had time to learn it so I've stuck to the more basic way 馃 So I do unwrap and draw flat in sketchbook ~ sorry that this hasn't been much help馃槄
