Designed for use with Mental Health Traits & Compatible with my Suicidal Behavior Disorder Trait & Major Depressive Disorder Self Harm version.
Note: This is to serve as an educational look at the darker side of Mental Health. As a Cutter myself (over 20 years) I know what it is like to be judged by the scars on my arm instead of who I am as a person. Self Harm is not a Trend and should never be treated as Such. Self-harm is an Addiction and should be taken very seriously.

The "Always There" Moodlet can occur if the Sim does not have a Self-harm moodlet. Moodlet will be removed if the Harm Self Interaction is used.

Hi YFH, Is it possible to add a "recovering self harmer" feature? I'm self harm free for just over 10 years now, and it is an extremely hard road, as anyone who's been there knows. I was thinking, if at all possible, having urge/need/want to SH with "big emotions" and having to use different grounding techniques? If this isn't at all possible, or is already included in the mod, I apologise for the oversight.

so to a *normal* person, adding a bunch of mental health mods to a game is weird.. but to✨ me✨ it's normal bc mental health is important and i've struggled a lotttttttt as a kid and adult. thank you 😙
Since this Mod is about self-harm, would you ever be willing to do mods on other forms of self-harm? Like eating disorders (I know it's not technically self-harm harm but the actions are.) and purging. I'm asking because I really enjoy the mental health gameplay your mods have added, and wanted to know if it would be one you would be willing to make/add at some point. I hope this doesn't seem to be taken incorrectly, but I was just curious.
I'm having issues with the "harm self" interaction not showing up at all. All the other aspects of the mod (Moodlets, social interactions, etc) are working great, and XML injector is the most recent version.

Is this up to date? The interaction isnt showing up although the reward trait is definitely there. Thanks! I love adding dark realism to my game
Hi! I have a sim with this reward trait, but for some reason, the "harm self" interaction doesnt show up when I select the sim. It did at first, but it won't anymore, even on a different save. I will try redownloading the mod, but I just wanted to point it out! Will update on if redownloading works. Update: redowloading did not work. Please help!
there is a cooldown on the interaction. you may need to wait until the sim doesn't have any "self harm" moodlets. Make sure your XML injector is fully up to date. it did break with a past recent patch.
is this compatible with the adeepindigo divergent sims mod :0?
In what way? It shouldn't cause issues if that's what you mean. But it doesn't interact with it.
hey! thank you so much for the mod! its really great and has added a lot to the game. im sorry, but i cannot find the self-injury reward trait at all in the menu. ive scrolled very slowly through each and every one, searched by type, name, cost, trait but its not there at all. ive confirmed that xml injector is working, all my mods are the newest download and all working individually, but i cant find the trait at all. im missing that aspect and would really like it, so if theres something i could do, id really appreciate it! thanks so much!
The xml injector broke in a recent patch. Did you perhaps miss updating it?
Hi! Just a quick question. I have the mod, it all works, but the scars. I tried looking for them in the tattoo and scars section in CAS, but can’t find them. Do they just appear on their own or something?
There are none. If you want visible scars or cuts you'd need to download some other cc. This mod is just moodlets.
I see, I think, 2 traits of yours in Chingyus add traits menu? Is it possible to add them all? My reward thing is blank and has been for YEARS. I gave up on fixing it. All I can do is add them through Chingyus menu so I miss these ones
I'm not sure what you mean. All my traits appear in Chingyu's add trait menu. I use it when testing before I add the xml snippets sometimes.
I have a question.. there is no animation showing the sim self harm right? Or i dont know maybe i did something wrong.

hello! everything in my game is up to date, but my sim that has your borderline personality disorder trait can’t do the harm self interaction. my sims can do it but not if they have the bpd trait. is this just an issue with me? i’d like to be able to fix it :(i really like your traits and they do a good job at representing mental health issues
Hey! i love this mod, but i cant find the 'harm self' interaction, i have the xml injector (working properly), trait and everything seems to be right also by checking the answers you gave to others, could you please help me with this?
It works just fine in my own game, so sadly, I'm going to end up telling you the same. Make sure script mods are enabled, you have the current (v4) XML injector, and script mods are not more than one folder deep. Once the sim has the trait found in the reward store, you'll find the trait while clicking your sim.

While I personally won't use them (I'm dealing with heavy depression and honestly don't want to see that IG ^^'), I find your desire to educate people through mods essential and awesome. Hey, thanks! Make sure you have the current xml injector script file. As well, make sure script mods are enabled and not more than 1 folder deep.
Hello, i need help. Your mod was working everything was perfect but then i cannot saw the trait in shop so i uninstalled your mod and downloaded it but again but none of your mods are working(i have XML Injector). Does this mod have some sort of isuess w some mods cuz i am lost i love your work but it isn't working.

Hey, as long as you have script mods enabled, the script file(s) aren't more than one folder deep [Mods/FalseHope Mods/Scipt file], you should see it in the reward store. You can even try filtering the store by "Traits". Also, Make sure your XML injector is up to date.
What is the name of the trait? I can't find any trait.
It's in the satisfaction reward store. Make sure you have the xml injector. Otherwise it's called "Self Injury" exactly like pictured on the post details.

Once your Sim has the trait, you'll find it when clicking your Sim. Make sure you have the current xml injector script.

Tested again and yes, the mod shows in my sims reward store. Make sure you have both the mod's script file and current XML injector script.

That's an excellent question. I can't see it causing any conflicts but the two mods don't interact unless they added tests for my mod. Was there something with it and their mod you were looking for?
I seriously need to thank you for this. Which, I bet seems, weird, but not at the same time...but I don't think people understand how much getting something like this out in a simulation game can help. for someone like me anyways, who is past the physical, but stuck in the mental still, constantly every day but also trying to be a high functioning adult. I haven't really found anything that's described my inner thoughts much better. I appreciate your work and all of the posted resources reminding me I don't struggle alone. Thank you.
Thanks! And you're welcome! I find experiencing some things in game helps overcome the difficulties around it whatever that trauma or fear is. It's a safe way to handle things instead of throwing yourself into possible danger. Though it doesn't remove the scars I already have, I'm still trying to stop cutting. I promised someone very special to me I would. 💜
i have self harm poses on my Loverslab if anyone would like to download them, you can search self harm pose pack by S1mer and it should show up on google but they are on a nsfw website so i dont recommend to those under the age of 18

I genuinely love this. Controversial I'm sure but as someone who struggled and fought with myself for years.. I relate to this mod on a whole other level lol Would love to see it expanded if you have plans to do so. Hotlines and self improvement/positive activities to prevent the moodlets maybe? I don't know lol but even if not, LOVE this mod.

Thanks. Funny story.. well actually maybe not funny but this mod was born because I slipped up mentally and hurt myself. I had at one point been suggested something like it but I always want to handle mental health with an educational view. I dislike the community sees it as an nsfw topic.
