Autism Spectrum Disorder
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complex developmental condition that involves persistent challenges in social interaction, speech and nonverbal communication, and restricted/repetitive behaviors. The effects of ASD and the severity of symptoms are different in each person.
ASD is usually first diagnosed in childhood with many of the most obvious signs presenting around 2-3 years old, but some children with autism develop normally until toddlerhood when they stop acquiring or lose previously gained skills. Autism is a lifelong condition. However, many children diagnosed with ASD go on to live independent, productive, and fulfilling lives.

Note: This is a Remake and Renovation of PieBaldFawn's original Autism Spectrum Disorder Trait. They chose to remove and retire it. I decided to recreate it since it is a very often used trait of mine and I enjoyed the added Realism.

Unfortunately still broken -- About Section mentions they can be contacted via Wicked Whims Patreon discord if someone's in the server. Following the creator in the meantime, looking forward to an update and sadly removing this mod from my folder for now. It was amazing!

Is there any way I can change the percent chance of these events? I have a sim who is autistic but pretty high functioning and not prone to anger and I'm finding the anger and meltdown events to be too frequent for them.
are the special interests just assigned to any one random action? because my sim gets a special interest moodlet whenever he showers and i thought that was a really odd activity for it to be 😭

Since the last update, my sim's needs have been decaying without changing color (known issue with some custom traits) and removing this mod fixed it, but I really love this mod so please update it if you can!
I've tested this mod and it works just fine in my game. Can you test if with this trait alone you still have the issue?

I love this trait and use it on my sims all the time! One thing that would be nice would be if autistic toddlers got a happy moodlet from being in the play tent, or maybe it could help calm down their negative moodlets faster. Lot of autistic kids tend to seek out enclosed spaces when stressed. I know if I had a space like that, I could have avoided a lot of meltdowns.
