Adventure Summary

The party witness the forging of a rare artifact in an effort to find some way to break the siege before Hurak-Durm falls. A Glimmer Orb is crafted, with the ability to locate the leader of the attacking greenskins. The resulting vision shows a small force of goblinoids being led by an unusual, red-skinned orc. That force is fast approaching The Griffon Eyrie - a surface fortress in the mountains to the East that overlooks and safeguards the foothills of The Ironhelm Mountains. With the defences of Hurak-Durm already strained, the party are tasked with meeting this threat and eliminating the leader of the enemy forces.

Arriving at the eyrie, the party find it already taken by the enemy. Sigrun Quickpick, a scout that has been assigned with them, cautions the party to scout out the place and pick their battle. However they do it, the party take on goblinoids and eventually face their possessed boss Vorrik. When the chieftan is slain the spirit of Tavren is released and as a final act sets the thatched roofs of the eyrie ablaze. The party soon realise that this must have been arranged as a signal of sorts as a orcish voices join from many separate camps, ringing out with an unmistakable warcry as answering beacons are lit by the dozen, and hundreds of shapes begin marching towards the port.

The party hurry back to Hurak-Durm with yet more mixed news - the orc boss might be dead, but now a veritable green tide is on its way to the city walls. The Firemantle Clan makes its defences as best it can and the party witness wave after wave of orcs and goblins crash upon the walls. They race around the city to help as best they can with any of the urgent situations that are occurring relentlessly, bolstering the defences and helping people wherever possible. Then there is a ferocious explosion as goblins with black powder bombs blow open one of the gates. With the city’s reserve forces already committed elsewhere, only the party can get there in time to have any hope of saving the day.
