A Statement Regarding the Recent Release Delay of Madam President VII, and What the Road Ahead Will Look Like

Hello everyone,

First of all, I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you, whether you are a subscriber or not, for the support you have shown me throughout the years. Whether you have purchased my work, subscribed, liked, shared, commented, or simply followed along, it truly means a lot.

As you know, Madam President VII is now out. You also probably know that the release schedule leading up to it was a bit chaotic.

I originally announced June 27th as the release date, but when that day arrived, I realized the comic still was not where I wanted it to be. I had changed my mind about a sequence near the end, and I felt that including it would make the chapter's ending more exciting. Because of that, I announced a 24 to 48 hour delay, with the plan being an early release for subscribers first, followed by a public release 48 hours later, on July 1st.

I know this frustrated some of you, and I understand why.

It was never my intention to leave anyone confused or waiting without clear communication. I set a deadline for myself based on how my previous releases have usually gone, and I genuinely thought I would be able to meet it. This time, however, I underestimated the amount of work left, and I also did not properly account for the exhaustion and brain fog brought on by the severe heatwave currently affecting Europe.

As a result, I found myself needing more time than expected. I was also so focused on finishing the comic and making sure every render was how I envisioned it to be, that I ended up disconnecting from the internet instead of communicating clearly with you all. That was my mistake, and I am sorry.

I also want to say that I truly appreciate the excitement and support many of you showed during the wait. At the same time, some of the repeated comments and requests before release started to feel a little passive-aggressive, even if that was not the intention. I completely understand being excited, but I would really appreciate it if we could avoid spamming comments or repeatedly asking for the release before it is ready.

Going forward, I want to handle releases in a cleaner and more transparent way.

From now on, I will do my best to only start posting teasers once the comic is already finished, or at least close enough to completion that the release date is fully reliable. That way, when a date is publicly announced, it will be announced early in the promo period and followed precisely, without leaving supporters confused about what is happening.

Today’s release was originally meant to be early access for subscribers only. However, I decided at the last minute to make it a public release instead, while still keeping the subscriber advantage through a discounted purchase price. After the messy scheduling, I simply did not want to make many of you wait another 48 hours until July 1st.

Once again, thank you for your patience, understanding, support, and valid criticism. I hear it, I appreciate it, and I will do my best to make sure it leads to better communication and smoother releases in the future.
