Animating Clouds
I just uploaded a new YouTube video that shows how I created the opening shot for my film.
A relatively simple shot made up of a static painting of mountains together with an animated layer of clouds created in After Effects.
I wanted the clouds to evolve quite quickly, like timelapse footage. I used the plugin called Trapcode Particular to create the clouds, which allows me to use a custom moving asset for each particle. Getting that asset to look right is key for creating a convincing motion in the clouds.
