Welcome to Bloodlines: Book Three!

As many of you noticed last month, our update finally got so big that it became difficult to download. This means we added SO much content in the past year, we actually blew past my schedule for breaking Bloodlines: Book Two out into its own patch--but the time is here!

From now on, we'll be seeing far, far less new content added to the narrative before "Gisele joins the club."  This means that Bloodlines: Book Two is nearly complete, and all of its images and movie files will be turned into a separate patch.

As of Bloodlines v0.55, the Book Two patch is a mandatory install, if you want to avoid crashes. I will be updating pathways and UI to help the game function without Book Two installed--but right now, there are too many links between scenes in Book Two and Book Three to separate them completely.

So, how does this change the function of our patching system? From v0.55 on, Bloodlines will by default start at Book Three. If you wish to have the complete install, you merely need to add the Book One and Book Two patch files. However, if you're content to simply play the game from Book Three onwards, you will be greeted with a more limited Bloodlines menu and the ability to view a brief recap of some major events from Book Two.

These changes guarantee that the latest content added to the game will always be playable when you download the newest update, but it also means that one patch file will work for all versions of the game--regardless of whether you are playing PC, Mac, Heavy, Lite or Nicest versions.

Keep in mind that the combined size of Books One, Two, and Three are over 10GB, so it will still be too much for many Mega users to download in one day. I hope you all enjoy this new system, and thank you again for all the support!
