About Bloodlines: Book Two

This month's update is major milestone. After two years of development, I'm confident that we are at least a third of the way through our epic tale. Thus, we're jumping from v0.24 to v0.33 in the span of a single month.

However, this also comes with a significant restructuring of the game, so...

Welcome to Bloodlines: Book Two!

From now on, we'll be seeing far, far less new content added to the "Pre-Sacrifice" part of the game.  Since this means that Bloodlines: Book One is nearly complete, all of its images and movie files will be turned into a separate patch.

So, how does this change the function of our patching system? From v0.33 on, Bloodlines will by default start at Book Two. If you wish to have the complete install, you merely need to add the Book One patch file. However, if you're content to simply play the game from Book Two onwards, you will be greeted with a new starting point for the game, a more limited Bloodlines menu, and the ability to view a brief recap of some major events from Book One.

These changes guarantee that the latest content added to the game will always be playable when you download the newest version, but it also means that one patch file will work for all versions of the game--regardless of whether you are playing PC, Mac, Heavy, Lite or Nicest versions.

Now, keep in mind that the combined size of Books One and Two is over 5GB, so it will still be too much for most Mega users to download in one day. Hope you all enjoy this new system, and thank you again for all the support!
