I have zero working memory so when I have to scroll I've already forgotten the first half of the comic by the time I've reached the end. I much prefer having them all viewable together 🫠

Scrolling would be better if there was a 1/4, 2/4, 3/4 at the top of each panel. Also gives webtoon vibes, which I find super annoying to use.

Lord Nibbles, ever the opportunist 😄 i like panel by panel mostly for size of font 😄😄 (don't get old peeps, it sucks!) but my true preference is artist's choice because the maker of the art should have the final say of how the art is viewed.

Since I usually check Patreon on my phone, the panel by panel format works for me. IMHO It's a four panel classic strip comic that can be easily translated to a vertical portrait format, plus the punchline hits with a surprise effect. But at the same time I do like the four panel comic because, well, it's the classic format which I grew up with. Anyway, what I do like are your comics, no matter the format.

There is a certain intrinsic rhythm and pacing to the panels in comics that is lost for me when they are shown in a scroll-down individual panel format. A four panel comic format just has a certain feel to it that I adore and when an artist that works within that format changes it for a particular comic, it is typically done for impact or because it is called for by the particular comic. Scrolling to me takes away the artist's ability to control the pacing of the comic and literally puts it in the hands of the on-line reader which bumps me. If you'll pardon an admittedly poor analogy, it feel like being able to scrub through a stand-up comedian's jokes; it might work, yes, but it might not because holding it all up is a rhythm and pacing that makes a joke more than just the text. Personal preferences aside and just speaking for myself, my feeling is that presentation is part of the language of comics and so "full comic" vs "panel by panel" shouldn't be for us, the readers, to decide but how the creators want to express themselves. I may prefer full panels but if Elizabeth and Jonathan prefer panel by panel, then that is the right choice in my book.

Thank you for the feedback! It looks like the full comic view will win so we'll continue to do that here on Patreon. We ourselves actually like both! Panel-by-panel is a bit of extra work but we have to do it for Instagram & Webtoon anyway so we're happy with both versions :)

Both to be honest, reading it twice is double the fun 👌

I'm used to reading them full comic on FB so that's the way I prefer it :) when it was just one panel at a time it took me a second to realize it was the same comic!!

What I do like about the vertical variant is that it keeps you from accidentally peeping into the later scene. This is perfect for mobile. Overall, I do like the combined 4-panel-variant. It is both classical and possible to enjoy very quick. When scrolling vertical I'm not sure where it will end. Will there be 4 panels? Will there be more? The 4 compact panels already prepare you for the finale before you even start looking very closely. You immediately realize where it ends and this builds up my inner excitement towards panel number 4. I believe it creates a way bigger effect of getting the joke. I could not imagine the same for the vertical version.

It really depends whether I'm on my phone or the computer.
