I must admit that as a straight man it's pleasurable to see a woman involved in creating something that implies that I, or at least something vaguely reminiscent of a small bit of me, were in some way desired…since, for very understandable reasons, there seems to be a 'men are useless or worse' meme. (In the Bad Old Days, e.g. about when I was born, there certainly was a very misogynistic equivalent about. To the extent that I can believe in 'karma', it is only as cause-and-effect, so I can invoke it to get a bit of understanding but no comfort…but one ought not expect comfort.)
