Marston Watchtower preview
The Marston Swamp Watchtower location, coming in tomorrow's 0838 A2 release, will be a rather large "dungeon-crawl" suited for mid-game (or daring early-game) playthroughs.
It's ripe with anecdotes, loot, unique dialogues and world-lore snippets.
To nobody's surprise, among the loot recovered from this location is your usual "unique" randie (using an existing archive).
As a late-game bonus, conquering Marston Watch Tower also enables you to claim it for Fort Sera (if certain men/money prerequisites are met).
Doing so opens up a new control menu that'll be used for future "claimable" military buildings in Ikaanos.
From this menu, you're able to choose captains, add soldiers from the Main Fortress of Sera and enable/disable patrols. Certain captains are more expensive, while offering better discipline and tactics in combat.
Enabling/disabling patrols also allows you to control a district, which often removes raiders and other threats. Patrolling also increases City Control up to a certain cap (40-60).
Having enough men also enables you to set up tolls at certain areas. The income from those tolls depends on Prosperity, City Control and Fort Sera's Power Value.
All maintenance costs, Freebooter's Holding bribes and soldiers are directly substracted from Fort Sera. All the player has to do is collect toll incomes and make sure Fort Sera doesn't run out of men or money.
MORE STUFF
In addition to the above, A2 features a lot of other tweaks and the completed wardrobes for Av101, Av102 and hopefully Av107.
Catch you tomorrow!
