The Elf's Mother: Revisions
Dear friends,
In light of the fact that we've been receiving many messages requesting that we edit the elf's storyline with regard to the death of her mother, we've made the decision to change certain aspects of the dialogue. We want to make it clear up front that the tragic element of the quest is not going away; however, we'll make adjustments to the quest's conclusion to ensure that the main character, as personified by the player, doesn't come off as mean or dastardly. These changes will be put into effect by the end of the month.

I got to this part and now the door wont open to go back in to my new elf friend. Am i missing something?
Honestly I didn't think there was anything wrong with it - when I played through that part, I was actually pleasantly surprised to see an adult title with difficult moral choices rather than "here's a happy story where everything goes how you want in the end and your character can do no wrong"
It truly is a good story point but man does it hurt having to see it happen on every playthrough
if the vampire girl saved the elf mother by turning her. then elf mother could stay at the vampire girl's house
Respect for believing in your story despite you audience.
It's tragic but part of the storyline and we have to accep it. I don't know your plans and how important her death on this way is necessary for your story but, couldn't be possible if he can bring her mom to the town, trying and failing in saving her but at least mother and daughter can see each other one last time?
I can see why people would want the mom to live, but I think people are missing how this can be used to enhance parts of the story. I'll be interested to see how Feyada uses this for character growth and motivation to overcome an enemy. It definitely shows just how far the druid is willing to go to control the elves.
Minor nitpick: the hunter tries to help the elf mom by giving her a health potion, and it doesn’t work because it’s “human” medicine, but when Elain is sick after eating too many cherries, you cure her by asking Mirina for a rememdy, which is also presumably “human” medicine.
Not quite. I mean he had to go to Mirina because normal human medicine would not work. He needed someone who was good with medicine made from nature. Most likely human medicine is made with human magic. Just a theory.
But i want MELF BOOTY
This guy gets it ❤️
i think killing her works.
Disagree.
Personally I would rather have the mom put into a magical coma of sorts or just maimed instead of being killed.
So the elf mom is still going to die?
Yes
