Poll: Dating Simulator!
Dear friends,
We’re currently hard at work on the new vampire game. The main character will be a male vampire and the female lead will be everyone’s favorite vampiress.
We want to add dating simulator mechanics to this game, which is a bit of a new direction for us as a dev team, so we’d like to ask those of you who are experienced with dating sims to recommend some good dating sims in the comments so we can learn more about the genre.
P.S. Would you like to see chibi art like this featuring the vampiress in the upcoming game?

One of the best dating sims I've played so far was Summer Memories and its sequel Winter Memories by Dojin Otome. I like the sandbox gameplay and that the H-scenes are interactive (you take control through a mini-game). You even have the freedom to have sex anywhere (free roaming sex) and the ability to unlock new sex positions and skills. Other good games are: -Paradise Lust -Summertime Saga (WIP) -Confined with Goddesses -乡村狂想曲 (Village Rhapsody) -Life in Woodchester (WIP) -What a Legend (WIP) In terms of graphics, I would prefer it if you kept your style. I could imagine a chibi style for flashbacks or dreams etc., but in general I prefer a comic/manga look.
To confirm, this is "Summer Memories", not "Summer~Life in the Countryside~", right? What you described sounded a LOT like a game I have called the latter, and if I could find another one like that, it would be great.

Well yeah I agree, although it's more of a visual novel in 2D animation comic form than a dating simulator.
I would go with the chibi for the speech bubbles but otherwise the same art style as Knightly Passions
Huh. I’d been under the impression that the Vampiress would be the protagonist based on the earlier posts regarding the project. Disappointed that’s not the case, but at least the chibi art looks cute.
Although at least we now know there is more than one Vampire that isn't little miss Vampiress.
Well if you want to try a simulator style game for inspiration or example then try Paradise Lust, Alcyone Legends, Milf Plaza, Summer 🍀 Clover, Taiwan Love Story, High School Days.
There is a lot of potential with the idea of a vampire dating a vampiress, and pertaining to the question, chibi are will always be verifiably worthwhile even if it's only on occasion.
Maybe the game will go into detail of how and why of vampire dating culture and the male vampire lord is like, personality-wise. Like is he cold and ruthless? Or is he kind but depressed and very socially awkward ?

If it fits the tone of the story/scene, sure chibi art is fine.
