Tia's Rescue Room Renovations - Healing From the Inside Out (Episode 2)
Who would've thought that something as simple as hanging a few pictures on a wall could begin to heal something much deeper?
In this episode of Tia's Rescue Room Renovations, we finally begin the process of doing just that. And I'm quickly discovering that sometimes renovating a room has less to do with changing what's around you and more to do with changing what's going on inside you.
In the world of animal rescue, heartache is practically part of the job description. We spend so much of our lives saving others that we often forget we need a little saving ourselves. And sometimes, giving yourself something beautiful, peaceful, or simply something that makes you smile can mean the difference between falling apart and finding the strength to face another day.
Because at the end of the shift, the animals still need us. The mission doesn't stop. And neither can we.
So while I'm busy putting a little life back into these walls, I may just be putting a little life back into myself.
After all, sometimes the most important rescue is the one we never realized we needed. ❤️🐾

Excited for you! I have a sound machine that my Brother gave me probably 15 or more years ago; still works and I could not live/sleep without it! Looking forward to your future posts!
Love it, Tia! Funny timing for me to watch this- i just bought an OWL painting from Prison Ministry Inmate Art Show. They're from Coal Township PA State Correction Institute. my church is a host
That is awesome!! Love owls too! Your room looks great and love the sound machine! Right now I use fans and soft classical music to help keep the peace at night with our dogs 🐕 ❤️
I love owls! Great story of spotting the owl and knowing it was meant to be. Thanks for sharing! I’m working on my own room refresh as well.
I love how your inspiration for one room is based on something that was already there. Kind of honoring the energy already in the space and letting it live on. I also love that you’re doing this around Halloween which is a really significant time. Hopefully many more owls will come and bring more positive energy and signs. Thank you for these posts! I also love the hot pink in the beginning of these; unsure if you’re including that in the color scheme as it isn’t particularly rustic, but hot pink is always a mood booster!
Thanks for sharing
Just as soon as these ribs heal! Gonna watch You and brain storm and decide what I want to do! I love Your walls. I like the rustic cabin look.
Nice
Now I’m thinking about making changes! I like what you have in mind. I shop of thrift stores and find a lot of things.
Do it Carol! :)
I loved this so much. This is kinda me. No fuss. Functional. I'm here for it.

Yes please!!! Thank you!
Tia, I started a painting for you before you announced your rescue room renovations! I’ve been waiting for your frame to arrive. I hope you’ll save room for a 12x16 frame, there is an owl and a raven present in the painting and it comes with a story too! I can’t wait for you to get it! 💜
How kind of you. We'd love to see your painting.
