TO THE RESCUE - Cats vs Dogs

I am sitting here with my beagle boy who doesn’t have much time left in this world. He has lymphoma. We r keeping him quiet and comfortable till he can’t do it anymore. When he passes I will be looking for a playmate for my texas cattle dog who is 3 and super happy go lucky but deaf. If Kovu is still available I would be very interested in adopting him. I’ve had 2 belgian malinois in the past. And german sheps r my favorites. But I’m older now and a big dog maybe not be the best idea. I only have 4 foot fencing but no one has even tried to jump it. I live in the country so Kovu would have a blast out here. I will go to the website when the time comes and go thru the process. I’m curious as to how to introduce a deaf dog to a new dog. any suggestions? I have been working on training with hand signals.

I LET MY PRECIOUS LITTLE SENIOR DOG GO SPEND TIME WITH A FRIEND-WHO WAS GOING THROUGH A VERY SERIOUS ILLNESS, I REALLY FELT LIKE THIS WOULD HELP HER HEALING PROCESS❣️SADLY, WHEN I BROUGHT HER BACK HOME, SHE HAD A DEEP SCRATCH IN HER EYE🥺APPARENTLY, HER SISTER HAD GIVEN HER A CAT- FROM A FOSTER PROGRAM...THAT HAD NO SOCIALIZATION SKILLS AND DEVASTATINGLY, THIS WAS THE OUTCOME😌SO, TIA YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! YOU CANNOT JUST THROW ANY CAT AND DOG TOGETHER WITHOUT PROPER TESTING...IT ISNT FAIR TO THE DOG OR CAT IN THE END...IT JUST BROKE MY HEART💔THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO TEACH EVERYONE HOW TO DO THIS THE SAFE WAY🐾🐾🐾💞💞💞

my cat that i had as a young teenager loved having dogs visit us until my brother brought his Britney Spaniel with him when he came home for Christmas from where he was studying for his PHD. Our cat to one look at this puppy(about 7 months old) and decided nope i dont like this animal. He hopped on Dukes back and rode him while duke ran around the house. Only dog he ever did this to(did it to several deer at our summer home but never another dog). Made for an interesting Christmas vist that year(last year my brother came home for christmas😓).

Cats rule, dogs drool!!! But I LOVE them both!!!
