I just finished playing version 0.8 today. This is the best adult game I have ever played. From the soundtrack to modeling to plot and character portrayal, it is the best. Every girl is not just a vase. They have their own skills. The US dollar is slightly higher in the exchange rate in my country, so I only subscribed to the $3 version for support. Hey devs, first of this game was great a friend recommended it to me a few months back and I got hook from the lore I hope it can get better. Secondly you're doing a great job so you should rest from time to time. And lastly I have this trouble on my Android phone since my version is Android 14 it keeps crashing and tossing me out I tried everything but nothing worked. So I hope this gets fixed still haven't played this new update. Overall though it's good. Thank you for the game!

Hey guys, I want to share my opinion, and it's about making "eternum" more realistic than reality itself. So, I suggest having two paths: a fantasy path, which is the original one, and a realistic path. A- **Fantasy Option:** - The game remains unchanged, where you can date all the women at once without consequences or karma. B- **Realistic Option:** - A drastic change in the paths of the characters you meet and how you choose between them: For example, don’t pick people who are close to each other, like two classmates, but rather choose only one. If you don’t, you will face consequences. The system doesn’t tell you to choose just one, leaving the choice up to you, but eventually, when both characters find out that you're dating someone else, you will lose both of them in a dramatic manner. - Each character has their own path, but these paths intersect with the paths of other characters in the city. The closer the characters are to each other, the harder it becomes to convince them. For example, choosing between two sisters. - The player can either date a girl or two girls who don’t know each other and never meet, living happily ever after. Or, they can choose the path of betrayal, and this is where the challenge lies. There will be severe consequences: * A high chance of losing both girlfriends and them hating you. * A possibility of losing the trust of others if they hear about it: There is no trust system, only a love system. Therefore, we will create a trust system and link it to the love system. Its absolutely ridiculous that you can't just stop using at the point the licensing agreements change. They shouldn't be able to make you retroactively remove stuff that was allowed at the time. Sorry you have to do all the extra work. We all appreciate you!!

and we truly appreciate the effort you put in this beutiful game, i have never played any h game like yours. I also havent jerked off to the game even for once because of my respect against it, i even created a little game between my friends where i ask them small details about it. This game has changed my way of looking to these type of games i mean the whole genre. The story writing is better than a lot of triple a games in my opinion. Oh, and i have to add that i even own a Nova Johnson body pillow(i believe thats the first in the world). Thank you for everything you have done and dont worry we will be here untill the very end and beyond.

That's a shame. I really love the game and I'm sorry you're having to deal with that. A question though: The post on itch.io mentioned AI Generated music, but this post doesn't. Is the AI Gen music no longer part of the plan? I want to continue to enjoy the game but really can't support anything that uses AI generated "art". I understand if its just intended as a temporary placeholder, though not ideal. You do really great work and I'd hate to see it sullied by AI.

Agreed. It does suck but I'm sure you'll make excellent replacements to overcome and it will be like nothing ever changed. Their loss actually (the artists and platform). BTW, I'm late to the game, found you last month, and I'm absolutely blown away with the story and quality. Love the little puns and call outs (Carolyn's Shrek moment for example). Can't wait for the next episode!

Caribdis, here's a thought for you.... Consider making your own digital music tracks, and be done with licensing issues for the music you use. You can get Magix Music Maker and buy commercial licenses for soundpools from Producer Planet in the genres you desire. If you want vocals, get commercial licenses for voices from Emvoice and make up your own lyrics. Emvoice works as a plugin to Magix Music Maker fairly well. The above tools and licenses are relatively inexpensive, and the tools pretty easy to learn if you have any musical savvy. Just be sure you only use soundpools for which you have commercial licenses... some of the free soundpools you get with Magix Music Maker don't come with commercial licenses out of the box, so I don't even bother downloading them (they're free for personal use only). Look up the Max Gumdrop channel on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@maxgumdrop). Some of the songs are much better than others, but all our music was created with the above kinds of tools. (ACID and Sound Forge were used on some of the tracks for special processing or effects. We've added a few other tools to our toolbox to create more variety, and you might want to do so as well, but I wouldn't bother until you've explored what all you can do with the basic tools.) "Won't Have Your Love" by Max Gumdrop is a sample song that uses an Emvoice vocal. Multiple Emvoice voices can be purchased if desired for a one-time licensing fee for each voice purchased, no matter how many songs you create with any given voice. Or I think you can do a subscription too, if you'd rather. Lastly, if you make your own music tracks, you can sell the soundtrack for additional income, if you're so inclined and people like your music. Just something to consider. It really is easier than you might think, for someone with technical ability and musical affinity. You can try those tools out for free, by the way....

Hi Cari, i realy loved some of the songs in Eternum and in Once in a Lifetime, even add some of them to my personal playlist, so its a bit sad if they be not part of the game anymore. (Can't even imagine how f****d it must be for You, for your effort that You putting into this project). But i know for 100% that You manage replace the music with other just as good. Thank You for all the excellent work.

I'll have to play the game back from the start to see the difference between both versions from a musical perspective. If I still like the OG version most, there's still the decompile/rebuild option for personal use. Can't wait to see how good a work you made to replace those and to still keep the music adapting the scenes environment. Keep on the good work Carib!

i actually play with lower music sound but i keep SFX up, and let me tell ya: some of those creepy dream sequences and haunting mansions made the silence more eerie by having dead quiet or low music background and then BAM WAKE UP MOFO! Nearly tore my limbs out in shock value lol. so i'm sure some will miss songs and music, but i think as long as the essense of the song that's replacing another song is similar vibe and doesnt clash with the original tone, u should be fine :)

Someone in the community will probably do a music restoration mod anyway. It's time consuming and will probably be more expensive but maybe each individual artist could accept licensing their songs outside of the platforms. The contract is at the time of "purchase", so in this case it should be when you license it? If they change the terms afterwards, it should be for the subsequent licensing, as customers buy/subscribe with the license terms at the time of purchase.

Always sucks when stuff like this happens. I just hope that everyone remembers that the artists in question have zero control over this. Like Caribdis said, this is entirely the result of the platforms doing the licensing, rather than the people making the music.

This may be a bit long, but unfortunately the topic requires it. I fully understand your point of view, but the thought is in my head that if you let, let the big music licensing sites modify the previously concluded and live licensing contracts at their own convenience, sooner or later your options will be completely narrowed. Not long ago, a similar message was sent by Dream Games Studios (developer of Beyond Tomorrow), but similar cases have happened to others, such as Ocean (developer of Summer's Gone, Where it All Began) or Drifty (developer of Leap of Faith, u4ia). My suggestion is that you developers should put your heads together and work together on a common platform to fight this trend. If you don't do this, or if you are not able to come to a common position on this issue, you will simply be trampled underfoot by the big multinationals.

We shouldn't but depending on the license of the provider, you might be able to contact the artists directly for permission. I've seen Pixabay apparently allowing it in that case.

For anyone who is curious I have pulled apart the Eternum files and created a spreadsheet of all the changed tracks (I'm fairly sure I found all of them as I used software to compare old files and new files and also cross referenced both versions of the game). I consolidated all my finding in a spreadsheet which has the original track name from the 0.8 version of the game, the tech name that the game files use for any of you techies who might want them and also a short description of where in the game the track can be found (SPOILERS BEWARE). You can sometimes get a license by contacting the music label or the musician directly. I have done this myself for other dev's. But it can take months, and sometimes the artist will never respond at all. But once in a while it works out and you get a license for free!

This is indeed sad news, the choice of music for these is truly impeccable, but that's ok Cari, we still love your game and are looking forward to version 0.9, good luck!

i do have a thought though since the MC is able to pop into eternum without his suit and take others with him could he also pull colipso into his world since the portals don't work for her

thats a shame i loved some of thoughs songs i hope 1 of them wasn't the song in the cafe in the mini game or 1 of them in the gen. club hell i was even thinking about buying some of them from the actual artists if i could find out who they are. but this won't stop me from playing the game. can't wait to see how things go since he somehow got calipso back to her world for that matter how he gets back out if he gets back out i am sure he will i mean he can't abandon the other girls like that. i have several visual novels eternum is my number 1 favoriti have a couple that are a close second and third.

You guys did a great job at replacing the tracks - vibe's still there and in some cases I'd even say that new versions are better than the predecessors. So it's a shame you had to go through something like this Cari, but in the end you and the team that worked on it managed to turn it into an improvement ;)
