Learn The INTERVALS With Iconic Metal Songs
I know you might be sick of hearing this by now, but if you're really serious about being not only a great guitarist, but also a well-rounded musician, then I can't stress how essential it is to learn your intervals.
Being able to quickly recognize specific intervals will greatly increase the speed at which you process music, thus making things like improvising, songwriting, learning songs and even composing way easier.
In this video we take a look at all of the intervals, identify their sounds, and take a look at various famous Metal songs which use them to help them stick in your head. You got this!

Howdy brother - when you were explaining the major seventh, you showed that interval's inversion. I know what they technically are, so can you give us uses for them [when to use, is there a distinction you can hear, examples in songs?]. -- from the kid in the back of the class.
Sorry man but I'm not entirely sure I understand the question. You're asking when to use each interval?
This is a great reference, but learning the intervals takes a lot of practice, both on the instrument and listening. Would be nice to have something geared toward that.
