The Bradley Hall's Guitar School Modes Cheat Sheet
I've been making a big push recently here at the Guitar School with helping you guys really get to grips with Modes. They've been the focus of the last few monthly solo challenges, plus I already have a few video masterclasses on the topic, but I wanted to create a definitive, written companian guide for you to use too.
This guide is the culmination of everything I've learned about teaching Modes, presented in the most condensed, concise way possible! Of course it's absolutely impossible to fully grasp Modes without at least some theory shenanigans, but I'm confident that this guide is accessible enough for the vast majority of you to understand and implement.
Good luck and lemme know how you get on with it!

Hi Bradley, I think the collection "Ebooks and Docs" where this document was, alongside the "Essential scales Handbook" and "Music Theory Cheat Sheet", has dissappeared from Patreon. The documents are still here, if you know their names and search for them specifically, but the collection is no longer available.
Great stuff yet Dorian has a natural 6 instead of #6 doesnt it? I think that's a typo.
Good theoretical knowledge in there, absolutely worthy to study it in depth. But I don´t agree with you that it is a terrible way to learn the modes by knowing the positions in the major scale. This would allow you, to easily apply a mode to a certain key (which of course you have to know) without knowing the theory behind it. For me this was the entry-knowledge getting into the modes and I personally see your cheat sheet as second step. Just MHO ;)
Cheers Markus, great feedback! I agree that it's a good first step, I'm just trying to raise awareness that it's only half of the puzzle. Many guitarists just learn the scale shapes but don't grasp the harmonic context needed to utilize them. That's why I only ever really focus on that side of things because it's not hard to just look up Lydian all the different positions haha, but learning the other stuff is not quite as straight forward!
This looks well written and definitely adds value, but to me it feels like some kind of forbidden magic. Still having problems with the warm-up, though.
Keep at it man, the whole Guitar School roadmap is pretty extensive - plenty to be working through and it's not going anywhere
I think there is a typo on the Dorian mode bit where it talks about the 6th interval
Cheers mate, well spotted!
Pretty funny what you say about Locrian lol
Haha well it's true! Waste of time spending any energy on it
