Question of comic format;

Hello everyoone, Merry Christmas and happy new year!
With my vacation being almost over and getting back to work on the 6th;
Due to how DA basically decided to not work as properly like it used to with long comic formats for mobile with the old DA app being discontinued and the webapp being impossible to natively show it in, I've been considering to change how I might be drawing out the comic.

So instead of doing the webtoon scrolling format, I've been thinking of doing the standard comic/manga format, and me posting 5-6 separate pages in one post instead of the webtoon format. But I want to hear what you guys think first;

Would you guys prefer the current format, or would you want more standard comic/manga format instead?
There is positives to each format, but thinking about it in my mind, I feel like there are more positives to the manga format over the webtoon format as well.

(and when I say manga, I don't mean black&white, it would still be colored.)

i like the format it currently has, i think it would be weird to change it

As others have said, the webtoon format is already familiar and established for the series; changing it will create inconsistency and be jarring for the audience to adjust to. Furthermore you've not done a comic with the traditional page format recently, and I feel the comic will suffer as you have to adapt to working within a different set of parameters.

I like the current format. There’s a certain flavour to the webtoon format that makes the experience of reading TDE distinct from its contemporaries It’s also just more interesting!

I like the current format. It’s fewer files. Plus, I’ve always used DA web page to view it. It doesn’t come naturally, but if you ”open image in new tab” it works nicely.

Thats part of the issue tbh, Having to open the image in a new tab or having to download the file to read it, thats a thing that shouldn't happen tbh. Should just be able to open it up and read it immediately sort of deal.

As much as I prefer manga style of panelling I think it takes much more thought, it’s an art to know how to make it, so I feel like maybe it would only take you more work which I’m not sure about 🥺 but if that’s something you wanna learn and improve on then do it!

It's something I would want to get used to and better with for sure! I already have a rough idea on already how to make manga like pages, and it would be more freeing compared to a webtoon page

The Webtoon format is great, and changing it partway through a story would ruin the consistency. Think of it like a book/game/film collection that changes the spine design partway through. That shit drives me nuts. Could be a good idea for new projects though.

I'd honestly prefer the webcomic style to continue, changing the format overnight would just seem jarring. Plus most people still here are invested and probably found their way around the issue anyway.

I love the webtoon format, but if you think the manga format might be more beneficial not only for what you do but for your content as well, I support you, King. ✋🏻🗿
