CMGIAW: Re — Major Rework Update v0.1.0 for patreons
What’s New in This Version
Re — Complete Legacy Modernization
This update marks one of the largest technical and structural revisions ever made to Corrupting My Girlfriend in Another World.
Rather than simply adding new scenes, this release focuses on rebuilding the foundation of the completed game: progression, route continuity, endings, localization, interface systems, DLC support, and presentation have all received extensive work.
The goal of Re is simple:
Preserve the original game and its content while bringing its old development architecture up to the standards of the current project.
1. Major Backend & Progression Refactor
A large portion of the original Legacy progression system has been reviewed and reorganized.
Reworked legacy progression logic across the main story.
Cleaned and consolidated old route flags and progression dependencies.
Repaired inconsistent state transitions inherited from early development.
Improved continuity between major Chapter 1, Chapter 2, and Chapter 3 decisions.
Reduced dependency on old route-point and score-based progression.
Reworked important narrative states so that player decisions, character knowledge, relationship history, and world events can be tracked independently.
Improved handling of previously ambiguous route combinations.
Reorganized legacy scripts and progression helpers for easier maintenance.
Preserved the original story structure while reducing the amount of legacy spaghetti logic controlling it.
This also establishes a much cleaner foundation for future maintenance without requiring another rewrite of the completed game.
2. Ending System Reconstruction
The ending architecture received a dedicated reconstruction pass.
Reworked the final ending router.
Standardized ending resolution through a centralized ending identity system.
Repaired progression paths that could previously produce inconsistent or unintended ending states.
Improved continuity between Chapter 3 decisions and their resulting endings.
Preserved the existing ending content while making route resolution substantially more deterministic.
Reviewed legacy ending dependencies and removed unnecessary reliance on old progression logic.
Improved internal handling of alternate and special ending states.
The objective was not to change which endings exist, but to make sure the game can reliably understand how the player reached them.
3. Narrative Continuity Improvements
Several systems were introduced or reorganized to better preserve consequences between scenes.
The game now more clearly distinguishes between:
World events that actually happened.
Information individual characters know.
Relationship history.
Player decisions and intentions.
Route and ending identity.
This helps prevent older continuity problems where a later scene could unintentionally ignore, overwrite, or misinterpret something that happened earlier in the story.
Numerous Chapter 1–3 transitions and legacy branches were reviewed under this structure.
4. Complete English Localization
The English localization has undergone its largest update to date.
The current Re build contains:
149 English localization files
43,486 translation entries
0 empty translation targets detected
Placeholder consistency verification across translated content.
English support across the main narrative, choices, UI, route-related content, credits, and ending presentation.
Structural localization verification across the completed game.
This replaces the previous partial localization approach with a substantially more complete English version of CMGIAW.
Spanish remains the original language and can still be selected normally.
5. Complete UI Modernization
Several major interfaces have been redesigned to match the new Re presentation.
Updated systems include:
Main Menu
Preferences / Settings
Dialogue Textbox
Choice Interface
Navigation Elements
Extras
DLC / Stories
Route Map
Gallery-related presentation
Ending presentation
General menu styling
The old Legacy interface is gradually being replaced by a cleaner visual identity designed specifically for Re.
6. DLC / Stories Architecture
The DLC system has been reorganized into a lightweight modular story registry.
This allows additional side stories to register themselves in the DLC / STORIES interface without requiring their content to be permanently hardcoded into the selector.
Episode 0: Before It All has been migrated to this new architecture and remains integrated directly into Re.
The system has also been prepared for additional special stories in future releases.
7. Episode 0: Before It All
The Sakiko prequel DLC is now part of the Re experience.
Access it directly through:
EXTRA → DLC / STORIES → EPISODE 0: BEFORE IT ALL
Players no longer need to treat the episode as a completely separate game installation.
For players who never had access to its original Early Access release, Re will serve as its wider integrated release.
8. Visual Remaster — First Pass
Re also begins the progressive visual remaster of CMGIAW.
Selected older renders have received new polish passes.
Several important character images have been improved.
Updated presentation better matches the current visual direction of the project.
Original character identities, outfits, silhouettes, and scene intent remain the reference for remastered artwork.
This is not a complete replacement of every Legacy render.
Instead, visual improvements will continue progressively across future Re updates without delaying the completed game's release.
9. Runtime & Compatibility Cleanup
A substantial technical cleanup was performed alongside the narrative refactor.
Repaired known runtime asset references.
Corrected character-definition warnings.
Cleaned obsolete or conflicting legacy references.
Improved script organization.
Reviewed route-critical labels and progression helpers.
Performed structural localization validation.
What Re Is
Re is not a reboot and does not replace CMGIAW with a different story.
It is the preservation and modernization of the original completed game.
The characters, routes, scenes, choices and endings that defined CMGIAW remain at its core, while years of accumulated development debt are being cleaned up around them.
Future Re updates can therefore focus primarily on:
Visual remastering
Background improvements
CG improvements
Audio and soundtrack improvements
Localization polish
Targeted bug fixes
Special / DLC content
Rather than repeatedly rebuilding the game's underlying progression.

Android version appears to be missing a lot of images. Each time I click to progress dialogue there is a error that pops up saying missing image etc.. and a lot of the characters are not present on the screen. I tried reinstalling a couple times and same thing
Thank you for reporting.
Awesome! I'm really looking forward to the update to the scenes
I've updated the Android links with the new version. Due to the game's size, it's impossible for me to create a lighter version that can be installed on Android properly without a aggressive compression.
