Hippopotenuse
I coded this using HTML and CSS, and some of the trigonometric functions –It uses hypot() to calculate the size of the hypotenuse, and atan() to calculate the rotation degree.
TIL a couple of things while coding it:
It is super easy to add Greek letters using HTML entities, it's just their name! (e.g., θ) This may be common knowledge, but I learned it today.
There's a hypot() function that will calculate the hypotenuse based on the arguments. I knew about other trigonometric functions, but this one was new to me.
The source code and live demo on CodePen: https://codepen.io/alvaromontoro/pen/xbwZVLa
I recorded the coding process and will share it on YouTube. Unfortunately, there were a few mishaps, and may go with a time lapse version instead of releasing the video with commentary.
I will eventually put this drawing in comiCSS, but not any time soon, because I have a few ideas I want to release before this. More on that soon... very soon ;)
