(Bad) Kerning the Frog
Inspired by a popular puppet frog, (bad) Kerning the frog explains how it's not easy being #008000 (possibly because of the rise of OKLCH), in a text with poor kerning.
---
It has been an interesting week, and didn’t have much time to draw a proper comic, so I put this cartoon up in an afternoon –don’t tell anyone.
It’s an old idea I have played with in the past, but I think I might have not published it. It has a different spin that hopefully won’t get me in trouble with copyright owners of certain puppet-y frogs. Although this falls under fair-use for parody and education considering I don’t make a buck out of it.
Anyway…
The cartoon mixes different things:
Kerning sounded similar to Kermit
#008000 being green in CSS
And adding different spacings in the bubble to “mess up the kerning.”
I hope you liked the post. I may take a short break for travelling, but should be back soon with more cartoons and comics… or who knows, maybe the travelling is good for inspiration.
