I also make removed pantyhose. I've never observed the real one, but it should look like this.
Next, make a costume option menu. In addition to the color settings, you can also set the thickness and the reinforcement parts. The unit of thickness is denier. You know "denier", right? ,although It's actually transparency (%). Reinforcement1 is groin and toe parts, and 2 is the center and pants section setup.
BTW, I think there isn't any particular name for these parts. Is it okay with "Reinforcement" in English?
If the color sample is black, it'll be hard to see, I try to put the skin color assuming wearing it. Mmm... a little creepy?
Here's the problem. If it's colored black, the part slipping down is not semi-transparent, so it'll be filled with solid black. Also other costumes will be so, but the pantyhose should be supposed to be black. So I edit the script to limit the RGB value from falling below a certain level for this part.
Done.

I think the unit "denier" is confusing for those who don't know what it is (I had to google what it means). I believe simply "thickness" is enough already.

I don't know of any general word for the reinforcements. Maybe you could also say "style". I googled and found one place calling the seams, well, "seams", and the panty area being called "shorts". (https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/353646/nylon-pantyhose-for-genesis-8-female-commercial)
Wow, Thanks for your advice, Eduardo! This page is very helpful. How about "Style1 - legs", "Style2 - shorts"? "seams" means all seams other than that, right?
