Drips&Drops:MC (Prepared for animation)

Hi, guys!

Creating a realistic liquid haunts me. The previous attempt with blendshapes proved to be ineffective, as there is a barrier that cannot be circumvented: blendshapes can only be created for one shape, while the user in the game can change the shape to a completely different shape.

And then it dawned on me. Clothes! In general, this is another experiment. There are 15 pieces of clothing in this collection that can be used as before, or you can create an animation in which the liquid behaves correctly, does not pass through, and so on.

I have made a plugin for this purpose, so you can try this method. Maybe it will be useful to you. If not, you'll still have clothes that you can use any way you want.

So, how to use it?

  1. Add clothing to person. Any pieces but not "full" in name. You'll understand why when you start using the plugin.

  2. Add plugin ClothingAlphaController to person.

  3. Select clothing for grouping. For example: R01,R02,R03 (I try to name the parts so that it is clear what they are responsible for. That is, R is right, L is left)

  4. Press "Create Group" Button. You have received a group on the right side of the interface.

  5. Now you can set min and max alpha ajust. This value controls the minimum and maximum transparency. For this particular clothing, I recommend the values Min: -1, Max -0.90. But you might want to change it to suit your preferences.

  6. Next you see "DynamicAlpha" slider. It creates a wave effect in which the first item in the queue disappears, while the next one appears.

This slider can be controlled either manually or using triggers. Timeline plugin for example.

  7. Also, you can look at video on HUB

That's about it, I believe. If you have any questions, you know where to find me:)
