What are your thoughts on Imperialism as a concept? Is it of any use? How is it related to Capitalism? Some leftist think it is only useful in relation to violence (war, coups, support of insurgencies,..) or threat of violence (sanctions, gunboats,..). Put simply: Imperialism = Capitalism + violence.
