How about the futility of using 18th century French feudalistic seating arrangements as the fundamental basis for equating political conviction with a linear spatial metaphor? The church and aristocracy on the right, everyone else (but lawyers) on the left, well okay where then do anti-vaxer go, if the right represent the stablished order they can hardly not go on the left (and the far left at that), but no one would call them "left wing" would they? How do we avoid the trap of whilst at the same time categorising the 'left' and 'leftist' policy as a kind of universal good (and visa versa), not getting locked into the the absurdity of confusing a left left for a good good (which sounds like an appeal for centralist rationalism but seriously isn't), in other words a Marxist analysis isn't 'good' because it's 'leftier than thou' but because its the best explanation and analytical framework of the overarching system, but when the left does argue/debate itself does it not always seem to boil down to a "leftier than thou" argument? Also what ground work if any can be done by leftists towards a united Ireland? And any good junior bucks war stories? (will miss this one sorry have to watch something with the brother)

Perhaps devote some time to reticence to vaccinate, both from the right and left, as well as whether the vaccine will be freely available and to whom, let alone when. Also, the circus around new video game console scalping is... special, though maybe not worth devoting time to.

Re: Console scalping, in Robert Ciandini's 'Influence' there's a bit where he talks about how the toy industry used to have a big drop off in sales in January until they hit on the idea of deliberately under supplying heavily promoted 'big toy' before Christmas, parents are always going spend money on toys at Christmas anyway, knowing that parents who had promised 'big toy' already to their children, were in a psychological bind and so when its is magically back in stock in January the sucker parents (who can afford it) are obliged to buy. For game consoles under-supplying at launch is also good marketing (you pretty much couldn't buy better coverage than the news reporting on people being desperate for your product) when people see Piss5/Xboner going for thousands on the black market, the $500 it costs when its on the shelves looks like a bargain.

Same as last time, but this time I might be able to attend. Shifting Tiempo accordingly. ~Tiempœ

I’d love to hear your thoughts on Yanis Varoufakis. I always enjoy hearing his thoughts on economics and he recently had a debate with John Bolton of all people
