Hey everyone!
A short and sweet release as I get ready for the upcoming Steam release! This sees the penultimate "priority" replacement event, one for Harper, finished. There's just one left. As many of you know, I've been recovering from something of a health issue that started December of last year and I believe I'm finally rounding the corner on the last bits of it. This means that, I hope, I'm also finally recovered from the burnout that has been plaguing my production schedule. No, I haven't been working any less, and maybe that has been part of the problem, as fighting to maintain the quality of the work in this state has reduced its quantity, for which I apologize.
Now, for an important announcement. The following update will be the final publicly released build. Early Build releases will continue uninterrupted, but I will be working to stockpile all of the new content into that and the future Steam build. Once the Steam build is finished, I will begin work on a much improved Android port that will go live on itch.io at a future date.
Version 2.080 will be the last in... goodness, seven years of doing this? Going on eight. I have created a product with over twenty-five hours of content given for free over the better part of a decade. I had hoped, naively I realized, that I could have done this entirely through Patreon funding, but reality often deceives our expectations. I am very proud of this silly, little harem game born out of the idea that people trapped in the monotony of life can experience adventure and romance beyond their wildest dreams. I hope it can find its audience. I hope there is enough of them that I can continue working on Superheroes Suck and other future projects. "Time will tell" can be comforting adage until that time is less than a year away.
I'm rambling. Anyone who reads the progress reports knows I do that a lot. A lot.
Once the game can be wishlisted on Steam, I will begin taking down the existing download links. I do not know when that will be, but I can guarantee to you all, my players and fans, that I will leave the final 2.080 build (and necessary bug fixes) up for at least two weeks for you to download and keep. I am removing the links because I am afraid no one will purchase it if they can get it for free right here. I also would like to prevent the circulation of outdated versions as they might present an incomplete view of the game. I know of at least one website that hosts a version, without my permission, with a game-breaking bug that prevents access to nearly eighty percent of the content. That's not a look I want getting around any more than it already has.

I have enjoyed playing this, seeing it from the heroes actual point of view, as he grows and slowly becomes the hero he is destined to be. Gonna allow him to get the flying training soon I hope. It would add a whole new dimension to his arsenal.

I have so many questions I'd like to ask, but not today. Good luck—I'll see you on Steam. I hate Patreon. PayPal and my bank card are both refused to work for payments—it just shows a locked icon, and I still haven't figured out what the problem is. I'm going crazy. Twenty‑five hours might be conservative. With all the callbacks and foreshadowing (you really love those, and so do I), I'd guess thirty, maybe more. Regarding your concern: I think releasing a "DEMO version" on Steam would help—a free download that only goes up to Mrs. P's kidnapping, or even earlier, like after the first patrol? Something that gets people hooked, or lets them see if the game's pace clicks with them. Of course, the final decision is yours. We're making progress on the translation. Barring any surprises, we can finish everything except the sandbox content before July. However, we've been stuck for a while on some proper nouns and terminology—if possible, we'd love to ask a few questions, especially about lovestruck. Puns are killing us.
I'm not sure I can do that. The problem with a free demo is that it's an adult game and I don't think Steam will allow me to put that many H-scenes out in public since credit card verification is basically a second age verification on the platform. After Steam, I will be looking into other platforms like Itch.io and so on. As for the translation, I don't know which one you're referring to. That said, this isn't the proper place for that conversation and I can't help with it until after the game is on Steam on sale. I'm utterly overwhelmed with what's currently on my plate.
Looking back, I think I read the update wrong. Is 2.08 the last PUBLIC build of content to download or is it the FINAL update, ending the story? In my head, I thought it was the full end of the story, but I might be dumb, but I’m really hoping I’m wrong that it’s the full end…
2.080 is going to be the last Public Build of the content available for download. The main story still has quite a bit to go. At least twenty percent (which is several hours), not counting the h-scenes and patreon poll content.
Looking forward to playing this very, very soon! Something I have to check due to the BS of my country: I live in one of those dystopian countries that requires a credit card to buy NSFW games on Steam and I don't have a credit card. That said, because I want to buy the full release of this game, I was wondering if there are any plans to release it on GoG too?
I don't have plans to release it on GoG right now, but if the Steam release is successful, I don't see the harm in pushing forward on it. I think it would be easier to get it on GoG after Steam as well.
if we buy on Steam, do we have to pay for the next version again and again or will it just update? I'm assuming 2.080 will not be the end of the story so how does it work?
The Steam version will auto update! It's a one time purchase.
What a way to end the weekend than with an UPDATE! Honestly kinda sad that the finish line is coming soon, but super happy with the game in its entirety! Good work, my friend, and glad you are doing better!
