Using Heat Transfer Vinyl to Make a Custom Dress ✨ Early Access
My first project using htv!! I have SO MANY ideas for exciting ways to utilize various vinyl finished in upcoming designs, but for my first project I kept things relatively simple so I could just dive right in. I will be uploading the patreon exclusive sleeve video right after this so it's a two video day for most of you ❤️ I will be releasing this dress video on the channel in January, but the sleeve pattern drafting will stay right here on Patreon. I also have the yearly bonus project video coing here to Patreon for all tiers next week! Thank you so much for your support and for allowing me to invest in such a fun machine 😊

Yay! This is awesome, late last year I costumed a local production of Frozen the musical and this is exactly what I did for the coronation costumes. I remember worrying “this is going to look so obvious…” but it turned out so well!
I don't know why I never thought of this for adding MCM "appliques" to skirts and other things. I've had vinyl cutters for years. Thanks for the inspiration!
It would be super excellent for poodle-ish skirts especially!
Unique and lovely xxxxx
Thank you Alexandra!
Absolutely stunning! What a beautiful dress!
Thank you Thomas!
What a fascinating process! The design looks like bleeding hearts flowers.
Thank you Penny!
Love this so much. You are going to have so much FUN. Really excited to see everything that spills out of your brain with this toy. xxxx
Thank you Marie!
Love this! Also, how amazing does your tattoo sleeve look? I may have to borrow the vinyl cutter at work some time.
Thank you Ivy!!
I love the design motif, and the colors are so rich!
Thank you Laurel!
I've got the Grandaddy of 'em all...The Brother Scan N Cut, He's called Stan! (He's got to be 10 years old now, surely? 😄 Ancient in terms of the tech world!) I've been meaning to incorporate him into my dressmaking for years but just haven't gotten around to it. I have a beautiful wool cloak coat design in my head inspired by Elrond & Rivendell with metallic htv highlights - One day my friend, one day...
Do it! Do it! I just got some truly beetle back iridescent vinyl and I'm in material heaven 😂
You have mentioned before leaving clothes too long in the dryer - throw in a damp washcloth (not sopping!) and run the dryer for another 15 minutes or so, and that usually takes care of the set-in creases.
Ooooooh 😍 making me want to bust out the ole Cricut 👀
They are useful little buddies!
Exciting! 😍
