As a new “Patreoner” I think using the archive videos is a great idea. If nothing else it shows what viewers are missing, so you might get a few new members. Having a few backup videos will take the pressure off. You said it is your job to keep the content coming but your main job is not to knacker yourself (does that translate to American English?) and pace things to keep all the balls in the air. Just use fewer balls!

Definitely release! It’s good for those folks to know what you offer on Patreon. So choose some really good ones!

I think it’s a great idea to release patron archive videos. Takes the pressure off but keeps the YouTube algorithm happy. Would love to see the house hunting and how the process works as it’s very different here in 🇬🇧

I live in a small-ish city in the south of the UK, we have at least 4 Mexican restaurants/takeaways (I've only tried 2 of them, one is fantastic and the other not so much), an "international" supermarket, a Chinese supermarket and several Polish food shops. I love the crafting videos , and am totally OK with Patreon videos being released.

Absolutely release the videos. And as a Brit if you fancy documenting your travels in your house hunting that would be interesting. As to food- our major supermarkets carry general foods from different cuisines (always Mexican but only one or two big name brands which may not be exactly what you're looking for!) and if there is a denser population of one people there will a part or whole aisle of their food with their popular brands - in our area that is Polish. We also have a local Thai supermarket and independent Polish supermarkets . And we are not near a major city which I'm sure will have more. Looking forward to Patina.

You should definitely release the videos!! I’m a tad ashamed to say I haven’t dipped my toes deep enough into the vault, so it’s highly likely to be new content for me anyway. I’m super excited to see how the house hunting and eventual move go! Nothing excites me more than old house restoration and decorating, and I hope you’ll be able to share some of the fun!

From one California girl to another, people will tell you that Mexican food is bad in the UK but you'll think you'll be fine, you can make things at home and source some ingredients online, it'll be fine. You will be wrong. I found most of the Mexican ingredients in the American aisle at the grocery store. There was very little online (including amazon.co.uk), and there weren't any Mexican stores I was aware of in London to source ingredients from. There are 2-3 OKAY restaurants, but they're in Soho/Covent Garden and so pricey for what they are, but you will be so thankful for them when you do go. But still crabby 😅 Ahem. On another note, I'm all for releasing early Patreon videos. I'm slowly making my way through them backwards and that'd help me finally catch up with the full back catalog 😆

I completely forgot to comment, that's what you get when you listen at work and can't do it directly so you think I'll do it later. At least this time I eventually remembered. I just wanted to leave a quick reply saying that I don't mind at all if you post a "patreon exclusive video" on your YouTube. If it can help you keep your sanity, focuse on something important and means the likelihood of getting burned out get made even marginally smaller I'm all for it!

Why not release videos onto YouTube after a certain amount of time? 12 months, 24 months, whatever. I mean, I'm here for the videos and I appreciate the extras for being a patron, but there's no reason to not release older exclusive videos that I can see.

Please release whatever patreon videos you'd like! Very happy for others to have access and for you to avoid the crazy work-load of having to produce a bunch of new content while trying to find your home.

I think it is a great idea to put up the patreon videos while you are house hunting. I've been away for a while, but I hope to be back to watch/listen to all of your creative endeavors. So happy for you that you now have the means to make your house dreams come true!!! You have been working towards that goal for such a long time and now it's here. Love it!!! I will be going back over all of the videos that I've missed and can't wait to see the creations you've made. So many thoughts, in no particular order: Yes, please release old Patreon videos! That's a brilliant way to have YouTube content without overworking yourself more than you already do. And if they're from 20/21 I've probably forgotten a lot of the details so it'll be like new content lol Ahsoka Tano is one of my favorite characters so I'm also cautiously optimistic and enjoying the series so far Super lame that Kayla moved BUT this means you could book an appointment in CA and go hang out for a day at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge beforehand :) Happy (almost) Fall!

Releasing Patreon content sounds like a good plan to me! I sometimes re-watch your older videos, so I won’t mind if you put up “recycled” content, especially if it helps keep you from stressing out while you house-hunt. Also, I am contractually obligated to note that Chicago has theater, opera, ballet, and Mexican food.

I saw Kayla moved. Any excuse for different Mexican food is a good excuse for Mexican food. As far as the videos, do what you need to in order to save your sanity. And good luck with the house hunt next year. I’m pricing (cheap) co-ops and casually job searching for a move to NYC, and it’s stressful. But so much more affordable than Colorado.

Feel free to release the old videos. I like Anita’s idea about sharing some of your writing. Maybe a pod cast just for us as a trade. Your content of all kinds is fabulous and I enjoy it all.

I'm willing to share old Patreon videos with YT if you share some of your WRITING with us!! Also, I know you are interested in finding an old house in a small town, you might consider somewhere between Montreal and NYC. They are 6 hours drive apart, both have Opera and Symphony, museums, etc. Montreal has a more European flavor than other NA cities and if you need to flee the havoc of the orange cheeto in 2024, we here in Canada are a short sprint away. Too bad about Kayla's move.

I sympathize with not being able to book with your regular tattoo artist--the person I have most of my tattoos from has become so popular I haven't been able to book with her, every time she announces she is accepting new bookings it fills up so fast I can't get in. I found someone new by looking at who my previous artist followed on Instagram. She seems nice and has a similar style so I'm hoping it works out, my appointment is in November.

I think it's a fantastic idea to publish old exclusive videos to fill the gaps! And while the crafting ones may not have as many views I enjoy them just the same. And I'll take vlogs of your trips too I'm really hoping you end up close to the NY garment district 🤞

You know there is theatre, ballet and symphony in NYC. Plenty of Mexican food in NYC along with every other kind of food. My favorite place on earth... so far anyway. Oh no! I'm sorry Kayla moved. Absolutely release any videos you want to. I watch and rewatch your videos. The ASMR quality of your videos is super soothing.

Have no fear if you ever move to the UK we have you covered for ALL types of food. They are more centred in the bigger cities, you are unlikely to find much in the depths of the countryside. But yes we have plenty of shops to meet almost every types of cuisine. If not there is also the internet. Also I'm more than happy for you to release any of your Patreon - I know other creators do that too

I think it's a brilliant idea to share the older videos from patreon. Hopefully, more people will see what they are missing out on and join up, like a try before you buy situation. As others have said, I rewatch your videos literally all the time. I swear I pick up new tips every time. I'm really interested to know which ones you'll choose, there are so many good ones!

Leaves have begun to fall here in tidewater Virginia so truly we are headed for fall. If only the temps would fall as well. I am really looking forward to the look books, esp October. Please put the videos on the channel. I was not yet privileged to be a member early on and haven’t made my way all the way to the beginning so it will all be new to me. I’m sure most will agree that we want you to be less stressed and able to concentrate on your house hunting. As for you saying it won’t be new content for us, I rewatch your videos all the time so do not worry about that.

I watch and re-watch loads of your stuff and still keep learning and enjoying, even the old phone recorded items. It's all good. Quite often I'll get some fabric and hunt through your videos for something that suits my new fabric.

Of course, repost them on youtube! And I also don't mind the crafting at all. You make such an insane volume of clothes - isn't your wardrobe overflowing like, constantly? - that it makes sense to do other things as well, to maybe slow down the "shit, my wardrobe is overflowing again". I really like it when you branch out into other crafts to make more of the steps yourself because it shows more of the slowed down fashion & design process, like when you first dyed fabrics and then made something with the fabric, that is really interesting to see.

Also, yes, do what you need to rest!!! Post those videos. Even make your posting schedule a little more spread out *as well*, if that won’t mess up your business model.

Yes! The UK has ethnic food stores. Most cities have Indian subcontinental, Chinese and Eastern European food stores, and big cities also often have West African and Vietnamese food stores. Sadly though, the quality of Mexican food available here is… not good.

I absolutely agree with the others. I am not primarily here for the exclusive content, but because I wanna support your work and to say thank you for all the wonderful videos you treat us with. So go ahead and release the patreon ones on YouTube. :-)

B, I don't know how many of us did the same thing as I did, but I didn't join your patreon only for exclusive content, but mainly as a thank you for years of being able to learn for free. So for me it's absolutely okay to release those videos. Also, absolutely not on the topic of this conversation, but I need to tel you all about it, I found a japanese book 'Pattern Magic' and for everyone who loves patternmaking it's mindblowing! Very creative (modern) designs based on basic block. It's available on archive.org to borrow. Strongly recommend having a look 😊

I like seeing the same pattern in multiple fabrics and colors. I use the same skirt pattern but each new fabric teaches me more skills.

No problem with releasing Patreon videos. You have a whole back catalogue of work that can help manage the unknowns of early 2024. House hunting and contemplating any move is stressful enough without the added dimension of filming new videos.

Share the joy of the Patreon videos if it helps you with the main channel. I love the crafty videos. The crafts you show are unique and they aren't things that other crafty/sewing channels post.

I don’t have a problem with you releasing patreon exclusive stuff. You worked hard on those videos and shouldn’t miss the opportunity to make some YouTube money from them! Also we all know the algorithm is evil you have to keep posting videos so why stress yourself out trying to make new videos while house hunting?’

I'm totally in support of releasing patreon backlog videos as filler on the main channel if needed. Maybe film just a new intro for them? It would also give you the opportunity to show off what non-Patrons are missing out on maybe?
