Early Access // This Week's Video

It's rare that I like how a polyester hangs compared to a real silk, but the poly just falls so well for this design! I think the silk version needs a bit more weight at the hem, but is still very fun in such a gorgeous color. Got to love iridescent taffeta no matter the fiber content ✨

Now onto editing the hours of silk jacket footage into something manageable!

Thank you for your support!

Both skirts are gorgeous. I think it would also be cool to have the circle part in a contrasting colour or fabric.

What a fantastic project. Again that jacket is so purfect. The way the skirts hang are amazing. Flat lining is now my go to!

The skirts are lovely, you could name the orange one your 90k skirt, in honour of your channel's latest milestone. Let's all have a cookie in your honour! 🍪

That apricot!!!! Ooooohhhhhh!!! With the sexy Batty Backed Jacket!!! OMG 😱 GORG!!!!! Would you consider going in with apricot crystals on the “bats” of the batty jacket? Just so they pop a bit? STUNNING!!

Thank you Thea! I really like the subtle texture play of the shantung as it is, and I really want that jacket to work for day as well as evening, so I won't be adding any additional embellishments. I promise there will be a LOT of sparkling beads and sequins on the silk jacket coming up next week though!

You could put a teeny little bit of a weight in the taffata floop. Sometimes I use something that normally is used for curtains to hang straight. It is a kind of lead put on a thread that is sewn in the hem of it. 😂 I hope I am not making you confused 😌

I have sewn a quarter into a hem before for the same effect, and some folks use washers! I have also heard of jewelry chain being sewn into the hem. I may try some horsehair braid first, as really all I'm after is the circle cut side hanging in more rounded folds 😅🧵✨

I’ll tell you how quilters manage all the bulk under the machine: we pay someone else to fuss with the big ones ;)
