Adding Additional "Darts", A Pattern Designing Demonstration
I recently received a request to discuss this style in relation to how to add in the additional external darts that radiate as part of the design without having buckets of fit fullness to work with. Yet another sneaky vintage design that seems to have darts or fit fullness coming from nowhere, but it's not fit fullness, it's just some extra they have put there for style reasons!
And now sadly I have to get back to adulting, I'll give you an update when I have one oof ❤️

This was exceptionally clear and helpful. And produced a lovely result! I know that suggestions (unsolicited) are not always welcome-- but to me it seems like this type of video-- with a single focused concept (how to make a bodice, how to do X dart) might do really well on YT. It might not get a ton of views all at once, but will be an exceptional resource for frazzled sewists out there. (making assumptions) it also seems like it may be less labor intensive to produce on the backend? Thanks very much for sharing. Sending good vibes to Xander, hoping that the vet visit is merely a precaution and the little guy is in fact, just fine.
Thank you L! Yeah unfortunately the views just aren't there for short demos on Youtube, and the algorithm takes note when folks don't click quick and it's not helpful for the channel as a whole. The robots of it all are rather annoying for sure!
I often wonder if there’s any chanting, spell-casting, or magic involved with Darts. Much like my Financial Planner - everything you show us makes SENSE … when you DO it; afterwards … my mind must be a sieve - all comprehension is gone! Good luck with the house - hopefully it’s only an errant bit of flashing (and new Sheetrock, and more painting …sigh). And Xander’s Vet appointment goes smoothly and without incident!!
