Hey, I love this Mod, but is there any way you can update it to show relationships on the family tree?

So sad :( I just discovered this mod but when added to my game it breaks the phone and doesn't allow it to work. Really hoping for a fix or an update :)

Please update, Royalty & Legacy made a mess of family relationships. There is already a fix for some of the buggyness by SonozakiSisters, but I'd love to use this mod again as well.

The no romance for family mod, what exactly does that do? Base game families can't have romance with one another anyway, so I am not clear on what this does. Unfortunately, the main file seems to be breaking my game. I can't load my households with this mod installed. Oh well. Nice concept though.

This will likely cause additional errors in the future. (TypeError: add_superaffordances() takes 2 positional arguments but 3 were given)

Hey. I really love your mod. I play generational families and it definitely helps keep the family tree together. However the family relationship mod broke in the Aug 19th 2025 patch. When the mod is installed and I try to load into a household, it takes me back to the world selection screen. Do you have plans to update the mod?

Can you please make it so that romance is available for in laws? my sim is having an affair with her father in law but now they can't have any romantic interaction and I don't have the " No romance for family" mod downloaded.

Does this mod also prevent mccc and ea story progression from creating automatic relationships, marriages, having kids etc between extended family? And if so, if I don't set the family relationships myself with the mod, will they still automatically do the above things?

Hey SMS, I'm having a weird issue. So, I can set relationships by clicking on the sim themself or by the relationship panel, but not by phone or computer. I've tried with just your mod and the injector in my folder, and even tried a fresh install of the game just for kicks, but it was the same outcome. Any idea what could be causing that?

Hello! I just wanted to report since i see a recent changelog mention of half-siblings tweaking! One of my main households has three siblings. Two brothers (YA and T) that have full blood ties, and a sister (T) that is a half-sibling. I can add "half-sibling" towards her from both of them, and then remove "sibling" from both of them towards her. However, after saving and coming back to the game, the trio have been returning to "sibling" status with no "half-sibling". This is with the most recent update to this mod installed (as of 2/13/2023). My game is fully up-to-date with all content installed. I realize that it's very likely this mod will break in the next few days but I just wanted to file this report ahead of time! (Sorry for the edit, my hand twitched on the Enter key while trying to type!! So really all I've done is add the rest of the pertinent info.) Hi Goodnight! I'm not sure if I added this wrong ? it worked before the update but when I click on the sims the set family relationship mod menu doesn't show like it did before. It does show up on the cellphone but not all the options are there like brother/sister in law.

I have the latest versions of the Set Family Relationships mod and the No Romance For Family v2 Teen Adult Romance Enabled mod. I am unable to add a Sim as a Goddaughter. They simply don't appear in the pick menu for me to choose. What could I be doing wrong?

Hey there, I love this mod! It's so important to my gameplay and keeping my sims relatives in their lane. That being said, I noticed that the NoRomanceForFamily (Original and V2) both interfere with being able to "woohoo" with the new "woohoo partners". For example, the button on the bed that gives the option to WooHoo on my sims that have WooHoo Partners isn't showing when the mod is in my folder but when it is taken out, the option reappears in my game. Since I haven't seen others talk about it, I'm not sure if it's just me, or maybe I'm just the first person to say something? Either way, I just thought i'd let you know. Thanks for all your work on your mods too btw! C=

Hey! Glad to have this mod updated! I am running into a save error when trying to set a 'half sibling' relationship. I've set a step-parent and a godparent with no issues, but half sibling will always give me a save error. I've tested by removing all mods and CC except this and the XML injector. I've saved between each time I set a relationship. I've tried removing a relationship before adding a half-sibling relationship (saving in between) and still, only get a save error after setting a half-sibling relationship. I suppose there could be more.. I'll test over the next few days, but so far only came across the half-sibling one! The mod seems to work great otherwise. Once again, LOVE your mod! Hi ! Your mod sounds very interesting ! Thank you for your efforts. Is there a "half-brother/half-sister" option ? It's a feature I especially like in my families 😊. Also, I can do a French translation, but have no knowledge of coding so it would be a text file... and is there a way to add partners and ex-partners to the tree ?

This is a handy mod, but the description is inaccurate. MCCC can indeed add cousins, aunts/uncles, grandparents, etc. Click sim > MCCC > Relationships > Add relationship > Add Relationship Bits > Family Bits. However, as you can see, it's excessively long, albeit probably not too bad considering the amount one would normally use it, which is why I was interested in your mod, for ease of use. With that in mind, I do have one request; could you please add an option to make the interaction visible only via the debug menu (shift+click), as it's simply not necessary on every single interaction, due to how often it would be used.

Hey man, this mod is definitely throwing an error, it may be incompatible with MCCC or WW but I'm sure it's this mod, I've been testing. When I set a family relationship, it doesn't allow me to save. Throws error code 401:8c917245:73188f92 I know there's been some talk about it throwing this error in the Deaderpool discord as well, and someone above mentioned it as well. Let me know if you need additional information. Love this mod by the way, I really struggle to play without it.

Will this mod be updated for 2022? I really enjoy this mod. It started causing conflict when i had to update the game along with the mccc mod. It caused failed save errors when i was ready to save the game after playing. As soon as i took the family mod out everything was back to normal.

Hey, I love this mod! I wanted to give you a heads up that the "No Romance For Family" one breaks romance in the sense that teenagers can romance adults. It also doesn't prevent romance between family members. I took out every mod except for that one. I think recent updates broke that part of the mod (Set Family Relationships still works, though I'm seeing duplicates of every relationship, for example, cousin appears twice -- that might be my own fault though). Looking in the code of the mod, it might be that in newer updates, new relationship bits were added which messed up the IDs assigned to each bit. I could be way off, I'm terrible at coding, but that is my guess. Thank you for your hard work! Edit: after putting my mods back, it seems I have multiple mods that do this, but this was one of them for sure.

Hello, I'm traslated the mod into Spanish and I noticed something strange, in the game there are 2 options are empty, I think the strings are missing, in the STBL I can't find it, I think they may be the strings to remove godfather and godson relationship, because these aren't in the mod options in the game ... maybe ... Hey modelsimmer, just thought I'd let you know that I downloaded this mod and noticed that at least one relationship description is a bit off. My female sim married a dude who has a brother, and I set the brother's relationship to her as brother in law. But when I select him and look at his relationship with her, it says that she's the sister of his spouse and not the other way around, like "the spouse of my brother" or something along those lines. I have no idea if you know this, or if it's even fixable, but I thought I'd mention it just in case
