There is a problem I have with this dub that wasn't mentioned, and it's the soundtrack. I felt the soundtrack is out of place most of the time, and bad, but the Japanese version didn't have this problem. I think the soundtrack is also a factor for whether a dub is good or not as it's hard to watch a dub with out of place music, even if the dialogue and voice acting is alright. I don't understand why this dub insists on using their own tracks instead of using the Japanese tracks. Nearly every anime dub I know of in the past 10 years kept the Japanese tracks. I know it's commonplace in the 90s and early 2000s to recompose the tracks during dubbing, but nearly nobody does that today, and even 4Kids kept nearly 50% (I think that's how much) Japanese tracks for Pokémon, even though they would keep less as time goes by until 2006 (around Battle Frontier) where TPCI took over dubbing (which is why the voices are changed). Some people say the reason why the music was changed is because of licensing costs. I don't know the costs of using original tracks for Pokémon, but to put in perspective, to use the entire Japanese soundtrack for, say, the dub of One Piece, Funimation pays around $10,000 per episode (from what I've heard). I guess TPCI thought it's too expensive to keep some tracks, though I still don't like the music they composed for their dubs nowadays. Also, did you know one of the Pokémon Sun and Moon episodes was banned (SM064)? I heard the dubbers didn't like Ash's disguise as they thought it looked too much like blackface.

Very interesting points about the music, Silva. Ah yeah someone on twitter mentioned that episode looked a little too much like "blackface" so they banned it. Guess they were being super cautious
