I was an ankle-biter in the 80's and I remember I hated eggs with a passion so there was only McDonald's breakfast item I could eat; it was a simple steak biscuit. It was like a small country fried steak with their dense biscuits. They disappeared I want to say sometime in the early 90's I think. I miss them sometimes.
The description of the cinnamon melts makes me think of monkey bread
