Early side-project vid: The Worst Simpsons ep no one talks about
Hiya boss 🙂 The script for the next main vid is coming along well! I just wanted to do this quick side-project in the meantime on a simpsons episode I can't stand that no one seems to talk about 😆 Next up is "Lost kids show episodes!"

Love the video Strider! ❤️
When we moved from our grandparents house to the trailer park, we had cable for about a year (2001-2002). We believe it was either pirated by or inadvertently pirated from the previous residents. When it got cut off, we were surprised how much time we had spent watching tv.
I don't think The Simpsons have paid cable.
I don't think parental controls for TV were yet a thing in the early 90s, the v-chip wasn't invented until 1996 I think.
at 6:56 you referred to the episode as "Lisa vs the 8th Amendment", i'm guessing you got it mixed up with the episode "Homer Vs the Eighteenth Amendment".
People still do like Lisa, especially overseas in places like Japan. Most of the jokes are about how much of a rip-off cable was at the time so once cable became a haven for original shows like "The Sopranos" those jokes got outdated very quickly.
This episode did kind of bug me and you made some good points, i'm also never been that big on "Itchy and Scratchy: The Movie" as the entire idea that Homer will possibly be able to keep Bart from seeing the movie was an outdated notion even back when it first came out(like seriously what was to stop him from catching it on TV or swiping a video from the store and watching it at Millhouse's place or something after it's theatrical release?)if this had been set in the 70s before home video releases were a thing it would've made sense but as it is it does not.
I HATE "I&S the Movie". I get that Bart needed to be punished but Homer forcing FOMO on him wasn't parenting, it was torture. Just ground the kid from seeing the movie for a week or two. We didn't need Milhouse and Nelson beating Bart up for not watching, or the theater being told not to let Bart in. It couldn't even have Homer learn a lesson about not being an asshole, Bart had to suffer and wait till he was an adult to see the movie.
Got reasons for not being religious anymore, but there are rare moments where it feels like my peers don't like that
I forgot, was this before or after the Buddhism?
This is before in season 2 :)
